Absolutely gorgeous; this quartet is like nothing I’ve ever heard before. They’re shockingly good, and Brad’s solo is fucking absolutely mind-blowing.

Its stunning what Mehldau delivers on this solo... few can tell a 'story' like that.. cuz it reaches into nethersphere of separation and ideas and technical wherewithal. (like ~ 4:55min... holysmokes!!)

It is indeed quite reminiscent of Chopin’s E Minor Prelude, which Gerry Mulligan actually played as a bossa nova on the album Night Lights.
