Joso Washington's Massive Trestle: UP Grain Train (4K) 9/28/2018

5 жыл бұрынAnother visit to the very tall trestle at Joso Washington over the Snake River seeing a UP grain train with perfect morning light.
Anyone who knows the area knows that you can spend a long time waiting here for a train. This one was pure luck with only about a 45 minute wait not knowing at all when something would come along. Naturally I was pretty satisfied with all aspects of what took place.
This is my first 4K video to be uploaded on KZfaq so please enjoy! They should be that way from now on. It is true 4K as well at 4096 by 2160.
All footage taken from a DJI Phantom 4.

Those steel viaduct bridges are one of my most favorite of all railroad bridges and you captured it well.

Agree, UP, BNSF, CP, CN, CSX, NS should all hire Railfan Dan for a series of commercials. UP however better make sure their locos look a little less weathered. Don't get me wrong, I actually liked the fact that the locos looked like they had actually been used, but someone might think all UP's locos look like these. Now Big Boy will be spectacular.

@@trainerfjk6269 Could you imagine Railfan Dan being approached by the AAR, and asking him to traverse the country, from one vista to the next, capturing workhorse American railroads moving tonnage throughout scenic America? Man oh man, would that make for a stunning PR piece for the railroad industry lobby! Makes me excited just thinking about it.

That's an awesome trestle bridge and, as you said, some really nice morning light. Getting good with the right stick so you can fly the direction you want while keeping the camera pointed in the right direction can be a little counter intuitive at first but does make for some nice video. That area is pretty spectacular.

You should re-name this bridge, in the title. It isn't a trestle type. It is a Warren deck truss bridge. Approaches are Deck Girder type. Lovely footage, thanks for sharing with us :)

Stunning footage, I really admire what you are doing but I`m puzzeled that you don`t have so much views, what is going on here. Your best movie is the one with the 4449 Daylight I think. I myself run the daylight live steam as a model and you can find the footage on mrbrammoos. Keep up the good work.
