Speaking as a voter: I don't give a tiny rats ass about small boats. What I care about is being able to afford my heating, food bill and rent. To be able to access effective mental health support and to get a GP appointment not being put through a call centre. That's not being caused by immigrants legal or otherwise. It's down to these Muppets who've been in power for 13 years.

They have no policy so using immigration is a tradition old as time, the stark reality is that the UK population is currently only propped up by immigration, current UK fertility rate is 1.56 without any immigration essentially means that for 100 people today there will only be 40 people in 30 years. the only reason we are not seeing a collapse of the younger age groups like China and South Korea is thanks to immigration. if the UK were to throw its borders shut, then by 2060 they would have a full blown crisis on their hands.

human rights act sounds good, but it's not, it's a load of utter b/s which has got our elected government into a choke hold (with their own permission). It was designed to stop the German penchant for gassing Jews. That job was done years ago. Germany has re-entered the human race. It was not designed to allow our country to be invaded at will by people in rubber boats.

Is there a link to Wednesday at PMQs so I can hear Labour explain their plan myself? Forgive me, I'm American so not very familiar with UK gov't goings-on or as in-the-know about said goings-on as I'd like to be and admittedly ignorant as to what certain things/terms mean, like I don't actually know what PMQ stands for...I'm doing my best to educate myself because y'all matter to me and I care about what the quality of life is like for average people across the pond just "because empathy". I've been to the UK & Ireland 5 times since my 4th birthday & having had personal interactions & experiences with folks over there it's where the core of my feelings for y'all is firmly ensconced. Other Americans may only lack empathy for y'all because of their lack of personal interactions & experiences on UK & Irish soil, and I wish I could share that with my fellow citizens.... Unfortunately most Americans are either too poor to travel outside the States or sometimes even their home state even once in their lifetime, or they're so besotted with American Exceptionalism they never actually want to travel to other countries & would rather stay in the US because they can't imagine anywhere being better than or more interesting than the States or think everywhere else is inferior in every way to the US. Some remain willfully ignorant, purposely avoiding any exposure to knowledge of "elsewhere" or the different cultures thereof. I apologize on behalf of my misguided fellow Americans. Luckily my parents didn't ascribe to that sort of bollocks & I got to travel both with them as well as on my own to several other countries, visiting some countries multiple times over the years, throughout the time from before I was even 1 yr old yet until my last trip to the UK at age 25.
