I went here with my youngest daughter in September of 2018. Here I am again watching videos and reminiscing. It was one of the most incredible life changing experiences of my life. The beauty and majesty of this mountain and park is indescribable. It is simply incredible. There are no words. You have to experience it first hand. I am desperately trying to save to go back asap.

Hi Debra I came here after looking at the Microsoft windows screen saver. I really like this place a lot. I feel happy for you that you have been there. I hope I get a chance to visit this place very soon.

I can see Mt. Rainier from my desk on days when it's clear. I can drive an hour and a half and go to Chinook Pass after work and hike around subalpine meadows and lakes. I had one to myself recently and went for a swim. It was amazing! But the craziest thing is that my coworkers are the same distance from me to the mountain but they never go. I am happy to hear people from all the world appreciate Mt. Rainier - it just blows me away that there are people who live within 100 miles of this place and never bother to experience one of nature's greatest joys.

Great video! I am going to be in Seattle in May and was hoping to plan a 2 day trip to Mount Rainier. Will all of the trails be closed that time of year due to snow?
@MountRainierNPS4 жыл бұрын
Trails won't be closed, but be prepared to navigate some snow depending on the timing of your visit. Late-spring snow storms in April/early May are not unheard of! Snow can linger in higher elevation areas like Paradise into June, but lower elevation areas, like Longmire and Ohanapecosh, will be snow-free. More info to help you plan your visit: www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/index.htm

70 dollars a car to enter the park.......sad
@kevinpowers90246 жыл бұрын
What kind of car do you have? I was there in July 2017 and it was 25 dollars for my car.
Wow, thats a big increase. Especially when a lot of the work there is done by volunteer help. I will be a volunteer at Mt. Rainier in August 2018. I know there is much I dont know about expenses associated with running the park, but that increase seems a bit excessive.

Yea, that's because there's no state income tax. Washington State has the most regressive taxes in the nation.

It's sad that Republicans would love to clear cut Mt. Rainier National Park, and turn the mountain itself into a strip mine.
