@@adammckee3496 In San Francisco Bay Area, we had Ticketmaster centers and you could drive to, stand in line and if you got there early enough, you'd be first in line, and you'd walk away with a physical ticket. I always had good luck with their ticket locations. I always got the information first thing in the morning from the newpaper, before everything opened up.

@@caseylooper6634 Don’t understand what you mean. I’m not talking about the complexity level of the Journey gig (Greg Rollie) era. I’m just saying the singing IMO is poor, and not anywhere in the league of Steve Perry. Greg did not have Steve’s range. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Steve is a very talented singer obviously. I guess them being in two totally different leagues is what throws me. The instant Steve kicks in on vocals he just annihilates Greg.

I hope you're wrong. First there has to be a market for it, and that is missing right now. I believe there is at least as much talent and passion in the world right now as there has ever been, but it's not what is trendy or what is being forced upon us. Maybe what could make you right is how they system of streaming and too many choices has made it really hard to get a large audience without sounding like everybody else. I'm holding out hope that more than just independent and little-known bands will be making great new music.

@@warrenjoseph498 Gregg had a voice that sounded really good with Perry's voice. They harmonized beautifully and powerfully. It was a real 1-2 punch. On top of that, Gregg Rolie was an amazing rhythm and blues keyboard player. No one played the Hammond B3 like him! When he left, he took all of that with him. The band never had this sort of grit again. It was a huge loss.

Wow. Steve Perry’s voice is that of an angel. It will be another century before were blessed with that kind of talent again. Greg Rollie opposed him perfectly. This song, and this era in music has yet to be matched. We were all blessed to receive such a wonderful gift from such an incredibly epic band.

You know that Steve said that to Neal after SP had hurt his hip and Neal wanted to tour. Call it something else, he said, just don't call it Journey. If Neal heeded Steve's request, they might have lasted a lot longer together. That is a huge reason that Steve didn't want to go back. That and the amount of touring Neal wanted to do just racked Steve's voice night after night.
