The track going steeply upwards,I believe the IR had constructed in the past considering,if locomotive of any train fails while running on the steep gradient,like brakes fail etc.then such train was sent on this upward moving track in Ghat section,so that after climbing the whole train will come to halt automatically.So this was an emergency track of CR/IR.

Wah kya baat hai IR ki,Thane ke baad iss train ko LTT line pe daal diya, through line se Kurla Express (Coimbatore -LTT) ko nikala aur apne ko woh overtake bhi kar gayi,Vidyavihar Stn.pe through line pe liya aage Dadar jaane ke liye.IR tera jalwahi nirala !!!!

How the other express trains get triplets(bankers) in Ghat section to push the steep upward route,whereas CR Rajdhani gets only one WAP7 loco behind the push-pull train,which pushes the whole train efficiently ? What is the speciality of push-pull locos ?
