Arnel was already 40 years of age when they discovered him which already not in his prime but still managed to sing great with Journey for morethan a decade is really amazing.

Arnel was first picked not by listeners, but by the band themselves. He is the longest lead vocals for the band and holds much RESPECT for Steve. Says he's willing to step back for Steve anytime he wants to sing with the band again (right after the Journey hall of fame event).

Pineda was older when he joined Journey compare that to a young Perry when Journey was starting. Anyway, Pineda stuck it out with the band despite all the dramas. He continued to sing the legacy for those fans who tirelessly watch the band. Without Pineda the band wouldn't have this rebirth.

To all Perry fans: Arnel was brought in to continue a legacy sound that was made popular with Perry on lead vocals.He was not brought in to go in a different direction and thus he "sounds like" the original.Neal Schon said so in interviews why he made the effort to bring AP to the fold.AP is a Perry fan himself and has tremendous respect for the man.Just enjoy the music.Lets all enjoy it and cross our fingers that Steve might one day return and do even just one song with the old crew.That would be a blast.🎸🎸🎸🎸

Steve Perry is Steve Perry no debate and am sure Arnel would say the same thing. It is just that we have to think of the present Arnel is in it and gave an added life to the band. To him it is just a job.

I cant belive that someone said he is using autotune just because they cant believe Arnel can sing almost perfect like the original. That was his talent singing the song like he owns it with heart and soul. If any of you dont like Arnel must stick to Steve Perry its really simple scroll up and dont listen to Arnel.Its been so many years anyway Arnel is used for that kind of comment.

Those are probably Steve's demented fanatics. Arnel has been doing songs harder than those of journey long before autotune became a thing. Maybe it's too hard for them to chew the fact that what Perry couldn't anymore do at 38, Arnel is still doing at 55.

I vote Steve Perry but enjoy Arnel Pineda too. To me I go more with Steve because that’s the Journey I grew up with. They both sound great and I love Journey either way.

Hallo Face, thank you for bringing them back. Although i am a bit too young to have knowledge about the internal development of the band, i grew up with bands like Journey, with the music. This song is just timeless wonderful. Please show more of them, who ever is on the mic or instruments. Can paint my own picture than. But the music will be great anyway. I'm Filipino but I think Steve Perry is untouchable. Arnel is great and brings something different to the table. No question they are both great.

LOL Perry couldn't even last past 38. Arnel started his gig with journey at 42 and is now 55.

Just move on. 70's to 80's Rock era is the greatest I know but we are now in 2023 and most greats at that time can't play live conerts anymore. Stop comparing just enjoy and be glad they are still performing live with those great songs whoever is new in the band .

I appreciate your comment however since it’s my reaction channel I will go ahead and provide my commentary as I see fit. As I’ve stated everyone’s entitled their own opinion and I am as well. It’s not necessarily true that artists from back then can’t still perform well live. I will maintain that Steve Perry will always be the face and name of journey, but Arnold is definitely a fantastic singer in his own right. Again thanks for your comment!

Why don't you just make the review to Steve Perry period!.., that will make you happier. for me both singers are good in their own ways., I don't even think this is about Steve nor Arnel it's about you getting more views from the Filipinos....

First of all, I'm the reactor. As the reactor I offer my opinion, as reactors do. My opinion is and always has been that SP is my favorite of the Journey singers. That said, I've also left room for Arnel to be included in the conversation as he is also a great singer. I do reactions with Arnel because I've been asked to by those who have asked and I'm happy to oblige. If they're Filipinos then great. If not, then great too. I'm not going to assume who is asking me to react to Arnel, I don't think you should either. In any event, if you have a disagreement that's fine, there's plenty of other channel to go check out. Please enjoy yourself.
