The red and white quilt pattern is called Burgoyne Surrounded, a classic pattern. I’ve had a Burgoyne Surrounded on my list for years. Maybe next year? 😅 I had never heard about this, Michelle, this was fun! Loved the pictures!

I never made a Mountain Mist Quilt, but I saw an exhibit of Mountain Mist Quilt at the International Quilt Museum, and that's how I learned about them. The exhibit was lovely.

This is great new information. I have used mountain mist batting before I switched to warm and natural batting. but didn't know this history or about patterns.

I still have a roll of Mountain Mist cotton batting. I'm a quilter. I recognize the Wedding Ring pattern on you wrapper. I never knew it was designed by Mountain Mist. I've seen so many old Wedding Rings. It was really popular.

This is exciting! I have a vintage Mountain Mist pattern unfolded and framed! I really want to make that red and white Burgoyne Surrounded quilt, so I bought the book with it in it, and 2 other LA Mountain Mist pattern books from eBay. Have a safe and happy 4th🤗

Fons & Porter magazine had an article and a moderized pattern based on an original mountain mist quilt in every issue for at one or two years. I'm not sure what issues they were. I've downsized my magazine collection. Im thinking it was in the 2010's.
