Gerry, love, since our Lord has given you this longing and has chosen you, as scripture says, He will deliver you. It is His promise to us, and He is faithful. Keep on, do not quit, please, endure. Let God take you by hand and lead you to the light.

Gerry James Many times during a painful, lingering illness I basically said the same thing. Then I came upon Mark 9:23-24 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Just like you I began praying for the Lord to help me trust, believe, love Him. And soon, scripture after scripture came to light and through God's glorious Holy Spirit, there was joy! Now, I LOVE the chair! You will too with ever increasing joy! We love Him because He first loved us! Prayers for you precious brother!

All the best with this, Gerry James. God will not call you in vain, if he has started something in you, he will complete it (for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13).

I’m surprised he did not mention the first and foremost, the first commandment, the shema. You shall LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart, it doesn’t say obey. With love comes joyful obedience because of that love you have for Him.

When you think that each and everyone of us have a whole life long opportunity to be with the infinite affectionate and loving Jesus, is hard not to be joyful that He granted them that much mercy and patience to live on His property!!! God in His marvelous Sovereign design made sure that each and everyone of us have no choice but to make a choice in everything we do. There's nothing in life that we think, say or do, that does not require a choice. It is impossible to live without making choices. Even when you don't want to make a choice, you made a choice... Don't get stuck in a parallel creation, that is merely a fiction of your imagination. Christ is Risen!!!

What happens to us when we die? 'But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing; And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun . . . Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.' Ecclesiastes 9:5-6,10 When you die the 'first' death, your body decays in the tomb - or 'Sheol' which is most commonly mistranslated as 'hell' in your KJV. The dead know nothing. If you die and your 'soul' goes to heaven or 'hell' and you know nothing..how can you appreciate paradise? The dead 'soul' knows nothing, it cannot feel love, so love of God in a perfect paradise is impossible, and hatred is no longer felt so a soul in hell cannot hate its situation. Why do smart men refuse the truths facing them in scripture? The ancient writers spoke of death as a 'sleep'. Not once but over and over we find the texts speaking of the dead 'sleeping''. If you are in heaven or 'hell' and you are sleeping and know nothing feeling no envy, no hate, no love.. Seems to be little point to being in either place. Men who died Millenia ago, if their reward was to go to a ficticious 'hell' then their punishment began Millenia ago, they have been suffering and burning for Millenia right up to this point in time..all for a single span of sinning for a human lifetime. Their suffering has gone on a lot longer than someone who died yesterday who rejected the gospel and died in their sins. How is this a just punishment? 'Hell' makes God a liar ..who told Adam and Eve they would surely die if they ate the fruit. He did not stipulate, that if they ate the fruit their bodies would die but they would live on in a eternally burning hell being punished unendingly. When we die we perish. Body goes back to dust, our spirit which is our life 'breath' and what constitutes our mind or personal being, all return to God who will bring it with Him when we are raised from the dead. Woken from sleep with new bodies our minds, spirit and breath united with new bodies so we can wake from our sleep and live again.

When you think about Jesus's infinite, unforgiving hatred for the nonelect, and their infinite, unforgiven suffering for Jesus's glory -- it's hard *not* to be joyful!

20july1944 ...... 🤔 "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil (Luke 6:35)." "Say to them, 'As I live, declares the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live' (Ezekiel 33:11)."

Dan: _"God knows who don't know Him since He is omniscient."_ That's simple foreknowledge, not election. _"God takes no delight in their ruin but he is just."_ He *must* delight in their eternal suffering, or He wouldn't have created them in the first place.

TO BE MORAL ONE MUST 1. Own no more wealth then the poor. 2. Use no force to overcome evil. 3. Condemn the more intelligent upper-half of society for hoarding all land and wealth. 4. Be a vegetarian.

1. Wealth is the property we hoard above what is needed for a comfortable life. And so, our wealth is the property we must give to starving babies or the blood guilt for their emaciated death is on our heads. 2. Everyone who uses force also enriches themselves upon the misery of those who have less education, less wealth and less whiteness of skin. For you can't do one without doing the other. 3. Root cause of all terrorism is the more intelligent upper-half of society hoarding all the land and wealth. 4. The greatest cause of pollution, illness and global warming is the lust for the sinfully rich taste of dead flesh.

@@johnellis7614 Simply being moral leads to eternal death, just as being immoral leads to eternal death. We need to be born again Christ first and foremost, and all other things will follow.

To be moral one must follow Christ. That has nothing to do with whether or not you choose to eat meat. We should also never condemn anyone, even wealthy people; God calls us to love everyone and not to condemn. Also, we are allowed to own more wealth than the poor- God calls us to use the position He set us in for His glory; that doesn't mean give everything that God has blessed you with away and live on the streets to waste your life away.

EVIL --- CANNOT DIE WITHOUT IT 1. Evil existed before good, for good is the realm of life, while evil is realm of death. 2. Evil being death itself, it is a most essential part of reality, as it separates existence from non-existence, all that is in the grave, from all that has been spared the grave. 3. Sin does harm to life and causes living things to be dead, while evil is the place of the dead. Therefore, the effect of sin is most ungodly, while evil is a most beneficial and godly thing. 4. Organic matter is a living thing, even though it is putrid and decaying thing. But, if such slime did not suffer the evil of death, in time nothing on earth would be left alive except corrupting and all encompassing organic matter. 5. By the same token, by God having created the realm of sin, it allows for erroring freewill created beings to live, move and have their being. For if our harm was not transferred to the realm of sin where repentance and mercy may end our death sentence, the only thinking beings left alive would be perfectionists who live in a perpetual state of fear. 6. And the most essential and beneficial part of evil, is how it directs our thoughts toward repentance and the need to gain forgiveness from those we have harmed. For who would seek God's mercy if they felt no need for it? 7. And so, an eternal burning hell has to be fiction. For the very thought of hell destroys the desire for repentance, leaves no room for forgiveness and makes mercy impossible. For a realm of the living dead, such a thing would make it impossible for the realms of life, sin and evil to work in harmony to establish all the decency and harmony we know and love in reality. 8. As the realm of sin was created by God for a most beneficial purpose, surely, Christ crucified was for a more grand and awesome purpose then to appease the vengeance, in a God of mercy that has no room for vengeance. For to end the anger, vengeance and guilt in out mind, character and personality, to open the door to salvation for you and me, now this is just the way that the God of ours does things. 9. Therefore, remember that the only way to love God is to create the only thing that He cannot create, the only thing that we can create without help from God, a grateful heart for all the goodness in God.
