"Joy to the World" using IOD (Iron Orchid Designs) Stamps

In this video, I'm stamping on some basic Sande Plywood that I had lying around. I faux stained the edges using acrylic paint, then gave it a shabby paint joy using some Chalk Paint.

Love it, I'm 70 and retired and looking forward to doing this. When I was young I became a art major and taught classes in various mediums however developed a not so steady hand but now take medication for it and working well. A year ago I started doinf fake bakes using spackle and piping bags,etc. Did so much my daughter has run out of room and said,Dad You need to find another creative outlet and now found it. Hash tag crazy Life for sure but so much fun. Thankyou so much. Like your style.

I use traditional red and green some of the years and turquoise and lime green sometimes, depends on the year. I love, love, love this sign. Our theme for Texas Retired Teachers Association is Joy and I will have to make one of these to give away to a retired teacher in my group. I have all the stamps and paint etc...so I am set to make one. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t limit my colors at Christmas. I usually use all colors I can think of but they are usually muted. Your sign came out beautiful!😃🌸
