Hmmmmm. A pattern everyone could get. I'll have to think about that. I cannot do live sew alongs because watching the needle go up and down is just too boring and time-consuming. I could do some videos though for everyone to watch and sew along with. What garment would you like to do?

@@Joy4650B pants! But you may be tired of making them. Winter is just around the corner, so maybe teach us pants and how to sew winter weight fabrics! If you are ever in Kentucky…….

I want the elastic to float inside. I can change it that way.

The pattern maker I use is Surefit Designs.

@@Joy4650B Yes, I have the Surefit Design stuff too (love her French Curve the best of any) but I like program/pattern too. I was referring to a computer program where you sit at the computer and input your measurements. For a blouse, for example, you then choose your sleeve, bust design, whether darts or gathers, French darts, tucks etc. Then you choose your neckline, Princess, boat, v neck, round, jewel etc., then you choose you sleeve length whether long, short or 3/4, or sleeveless and it adjusts to any fitting problems you have, to an extent. You then print out your pattern, align the points of reference and glue or tape the pieces of paper together for a pattern. It is fun to go to the pattern store and then pick a design out and come home and draft it through the pattern maker. If you make a coat, you have shoulder pads that you input. Pants are adjusted to your figure. I like Surefit too, bu I prefer The Fit Nice System better. With the computer software (Wild Ginger) I can fit my big bust better with pattern making software, for some reason. I am not affiliated with any of them. I just use them to sew. I have the Wild Ginger Program, but it is for Windows, and I now have just Apple. It is so much fun to design your outfit on screen. You can even input your fabric to see what the finished product will look like. I hate Windows (sorry for all of you that love it!) so it is a no-go for me. To me, it’s all SO MUCH FUN. I got the steam iron you recommended several years ago and love it. Best thing I ever bought!

I just made pajamas for my first garment. If they come out wonky no one else will know. They were easier than expected. I encourage you to give garment sewing a go..
