This is exactly how feel. In fact I being scared to voice it out loud. She does a good job at letting people like me express their true feelings about God. I always feel or struggle with the idea that he’s constantly running his discipline on me. It’s overwhelming!

I don't agree that the Bible affirms God IS angry. Absolutely He gets angry at evil and injustice, but the Bible says, " The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy." And Jesus himself said, "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children. how much more so will your Heavenly father give what is good to those who ask him!" What kind of parent would be considered good, even down here in a flawed world, if one of their primary attributes was 'anger?'

@@esmesipe9128 Amen to that! You know, your comment has really made me think, and I do agree! The last sentence you wrote really grasped my attention! As of late, I've been feeling that God has been angry at me nearly every encounter I would have with him through the day. I felt uncomfortable by this, as one may imagine, but this comment you have shared has made me think quite logically instead of fearfully and emotionally. Thank you so much Esme, God bless you!
