Discovering klaus schulze is like opening a door for your mind...no words to describe his symphonies

this was the first klaus schulze album i sat down to listen to, before going through just about his entire discography by now... i could sob at the weight of the journey. it really is enlightening, knowing that my impression is beyond any other. nothing has ever sung to me the way his harmonies have. multicultural, world music, inquisitive for every age of man. as someone who spends this entire era of my life alone playing music to the wind, the spirit of his continuum (not the album kontinuum) is the best companion i could realistically ask for. the mindset behind making a near endless discography of true bliss being foreshadowed and teased through a directionally imposed orchestra. there's no other experience like his music introducing maqams and latin tempos in such non-traditional contexts. it's ethereal, the fonts he used to write swaying, dancing, singing chords through single notes distributed through the atmosphere. it's a golden ratio spinning outward. pure genius. i can and will go on forever. as is his message to us all.

His music is like a organic mantra. Taking you deeper and deeper into a state of mind. Wishing only this theme lasts for 3 hrs or more. This repetitiveness of the sequencing together with the violin (like it has a life of it's own) is mesmorizing and soothing for the mind. Almost like Philip Glass with his minimal and repetitive music. It has a comforting yet energizing effect on me.

@ErwinEmilReinhardt-karr8 жыл бұрын
+Drunken Pirate Synchronicity is a concept which holds that events are "meaningful coincidences" if they occur with no causal relationship, yet seem to be meaningfully related. It's an approach to the underlying order which presides over the events of coincidence. For exemple, your feeling to always discover artists in the right moment of our life is not a coincidence but a non-causal factor that influenced the realization of your intentions. For a clearer explanation of this complicated but very interesting topic, go on Google and type Synchronicity to discover a fascinating universe.

In late 68 I got out of the V.A. hospital in Boston and spent the next year trying to figure out who the fu#k I was and what I was going to do with my life,when a guy that I had met in Nam suggested that we kick around Europe for a time,just to see if people were nicer than our American brethren. Well long story short, in the summer of 72,I first heard Schultz play his music. At that time Germany was to music as air to lungs. Everything new,everything that could possibly be different in music was coming from Germany. 72 was the year I went from Bach to Schultz,and in truth I don't think their much different.

Generalizations like "American brethren" are stereotypes and are ignorant. America isn't a place with a single type of people. It is an experiment in democracy.
@MrAquamorph2 жыл бұрын
@@chopin65 I assume he was a returning veteran then, wounded in Vietnam. The American sentiment towards fighting soldiers was not welcoming back then. That is what he was referring to I guess. He was treated as a stereotype, the representation of an unwelcome episode in US history. I think he is quite entitled to make the statement he made, given his experience. Good on him that he found healing in music.

Glad you found your way into his music. It is never too late to hear anyone’s passion and genius in music. Klaus Schulze is a lifetime of listening, yet impossible to hear it all. His analog works in the 1970 are standout compositions. Timewind, X, Body Love I and II, Moonlake are the best introductions. sure it is 8+ hours but what a magnificent 8 hour part of life it is. I still listen to these recordings. I hope you have donelc so as well in the 3 years since your post here. Welcome to the future. (please no chastisement for my leaving out anything from the 70s and my omission of his later body of digital work as they are all worthy of note. Dresden and Rhodes events are incredible!)

My favorite KS track is from Timewind? Mirage? Body Love? Dune? No, it's this one. Well done. Everytime I need to listen to music to dive in very deeply and not having to stop after 20 minutes I listen to The Rhodes Violin. Almost an hour long and still having enough tension not to become boring.
