Not sure if they actually said Marylin Manson and Tokio Hotel are goth... but if they did I can just cringe, because they both aren't goth, damn

They just said that if we take a look at bands like Manson and Tokio Hotel, Goth has gained commercial potential over the years. It's kinda true, many mainstream acts use goth aesthetics, even nowadays. This TV show is really old, I used to watch it as a teenager. They tend to exagerrate things, edit videos in a misleading way and shamelessly make stories up to fit their "cool" agenda (a little like Vice). It wasn't bad when you didn't have fast internet and didn't know alternative music very well. Now I can't watch it without cringing every 20 seconds. That episode is pretty good though.

Goth music in France in early 80's was them:m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eLGXgdVp3rS4qKM.html They were not even goth but batcave (proto-goth mouvement).

Very nice, even if some things are not explained properly. For instance, the baptism, the bra and so on were offered within the context of a (successful) Pledge campaign. The quote with the Millennium Bug originates from a thought-provoking, yet somewhat ironic, song. To my knowledge, Valor has never said anything about alien invasions! I also find it strange that the bad version of Rozz' "Spiritual Cramp" is played during part of the video for "Church of No Return". Moreover, there have not been two bands with the same name for ages. Valor has been the musical motor behind Christian Death since 1983; since 1985 he has also been responsible for the lyrics and concepts. I would like to see the full-length interview, as well as the concert in Paris in its entirety.
