It is hands down the best vacuum cleaner ever. You are so right in everything you say. High quality german made. I own one (felix fun) here in Germany and I love it. My Miele C3 canister is also absolutely amazing but for carpet no vacuum ever can compete with Sebo Felix/Dart. It is really the best.

@Joyful Living with Jen Lefforge Yes I know. I think everyone needs to know about Sebo and not spend their hard earned money in plastic junk . In Germany they are not sold everywhere either but only in Sebo shops. So not everyone knows about them. Great review :)

@@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge you said its not really suitable for hard floors. Do you not have the parquet brush? You remove the powerhead & clip it the bottom to clean delicate hard floors. There is also a powered hard floor polisher with course pads to remove scratches scuff marks & ingrained dirt & soft pads to gently buff & sheen delicate floors

Not sure if anyone pointed this out yet. If you buy a Sebo vacuum through an authorized dealer they can extend your warranty to 10 years!

Your absolutely right , I bought a SEBO E3 last week from a vacuum cleaner shop, that sells ALOT of different vacuums. And the warranty is 10 years. The E3 retails for 1099.00. They had 2 floor models, I got a white one for 824.00.+ tax. The lady said they just took it out of the box 2 days ago for people to test drive, but its never be test drive yet, so 275.00 off the retail price............SOLD ! This is a wonderful vacuum....................It runs like a Porsche 911RS.............OFF the HOOK !

You are right: bagless vacuums do emit a lot of fine dust back into the air. I am a vacuum cleaner repairman and I always advise people to go with a bagged machine. Sebo and Miele are two of the best German made vacuum cleaners you can buy. I personally own two Kirby vacuums and a Royal all-metal upright. We have four cats and two dogs so there is a lot of vacuuming every day, lol. You have a great machine. I like the Felix, myself, which is the same thing as the Dart.

Interesting review. FYI the Sebo FELIX is the big brother to the Dart, is able to handle hard floors thanks to an included parquete brush (there are other extras, some of which you mentioned). Should also add my FELIX lasted 15 years and was donated (fully working) to a church so I could replace it with the Sebo E3.

Sounds awesome! I’ve never heard of this brand but we have a Miele (I believe also German made) and it’s amazing. I’ve had it for at least 11/12 years and we had cats for quite a number of those years. We got our first normal, upright, bagless vacuum and spent about $100 and within a year it was just disgustingly dirty, not cleaning well, and anytime you emptied it, dirty just went everywhere (and we were two young professionals in a small apartment and working full time with no pets, there wasn’t that much to vacuum up!). So we started researching and landed on Miele and I love it. I’ve never cleaned out the area where the bag goes and it’s still clean in there. I also like that ours can take a hepa filter, so I change that as recommended. A really really good vacuum is 100% worth the investment. I don’t even think $500 for yours is terribly expensive. Sounds like a wonderful investment and will really be something you will love to use and clean with for many years (yes, I realize how ridiculous this is sounding. Raving over vacuums and congratulating someone on their fine choice. 😂🤣)

Fun to note, but if you buy the Felix Onyx version (part # 9807AM) only available at an authorized vac store/Sebo dealer, you get their 10/10/7 warranty. 10 yr parts, 10 yr Motor, 7 yr labor coverage. The outer bag cover of the machine is also a replaceable filter that you can swap out for other designs when the time comes to replace it. I own an E3 Premium canister myself and absolutely love it!

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video. I finally killed my old ancient Dyson Animal (no ball) in Nov. It is actually falling apart due to so much use. I have been using a Shark vac in the meantime while I look for something else. The Shark is decent, it's designed/marketed for pet households (I have three hairy Border Collies)...but it's nowhere near as good as my Dyson. Dog hair and super fine dust are being left behind. I brought the D to the vac repair place and he said there was nothing he could do. However he has recommended the Sebo Felix (I have 70/30 hard flooring/carpet). It's pricey but everything I am reading and seeing says it may be my next vac!

I've had mine for about 3 1/2 years. I don't find it particularly heavy. I guess I am just used to heavy vacuums. The thing I like the least is that when you use the hose and the crevice tool, the vacuum tips over., There is no way to not have it tip over other than having one hand on the vacuum part. SOO, I see this video and realize, I can take off the part that makes it tip over! I have 2 long haired cats and a couple southwest style wool rugs. All of those can be hard on vacuums. Sebo handles it well. I also have lots and lots of tile floors, and carpet in the bedrooms, so a mix of flooring and this vac handles it all. I found this video just trying to research how to change out filters for maintenance so it stays like new forever. Love mine!

I think most people call those HEPA bags or HEPA cloth bags....they are fantastic and just started becoming available maybe in the 2000s? Lots of vacuums can use them and basically NOTHING escapes them...the bag chamber stays clean UNLESS there is some sort of defect where the vacuum doesn't seal the bag well when it's installed... You do know you can buy an extension hose to give yourself way more reach to clean up high, low, etc. I don't have this upright but another one it also uses a HEPA bag. I bought this 12 foot extension hose and attachments that go with it and I connect it to my vacuum and I can clean everywhere... ceiling fans...walls...without moving the vacuum

As you mentioned, Dyson is NOT the best vacuum ever, Dyson is just the best marketer ever. This comment is 2 years later than the video so people should know that Sebo has a dealer locater on their site now; buying from an authorized dealer can get you an extended warranty and often a sale price. It's also the place to go if you ever need a repair. Fashionistas should be aware the blue fabric cover on the vacuum is also a post-filter and Sebo sells them in different colors & patterns.

Great review Jen! I use a Dyson that I have had for quite a few years now. I regularly tear it all apart to clean the dog hair and whatever out of the hoses and roller and wash filters, which is really a pain in the rear, but necessary. I think the Dyson is a great vacuum, but when I need to replace it I am going to look into this Sebo because of the simple way you can get that roller out. That would save so much time. Are there filters to replace on that, or does it not have them because of it being a bagged vacuum? Thanks again for the review.

That’s a really sleek looking vacuum. We have a lot of waterproof vinyl plank so I don’t know if the vacuum would suit us but our older house had tons of carpet. We don’t have a dog but we have two cats and folks with long hair and I understand your struggles of getting down on the floor with a pair of scissors trying to cut the hair lol. I though I was the only one who did that. Also thanks for mentioning how heavy it may be. A good tip: the Sebo Felix/Dart brush rolls are top rack dishwasher safe so you can get the brush extra clean. Make sure the Brush-roll is bone dry before Putting it back in.😉😊👍

@@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge Your welcome ☺️, I do own a Sebo Dart 2 which the one difference is the Dart 2 has a 15 inch width powerhead. I absolutely love it too ❤️ it does have amazing carpet agitation that does get the deep down grit from the bottom of the carpet.

If you have alot of hard floors get a "dust mop" and you'll be wondering how you survived without one. If this vacuum ends up failing you check out the Sensor S12 its what we use at my job cleaning elementary schools and its soooo good. Easy to clean, maintain and repair. Its never failed me and i put it through hell. Only thing ive ever had to repair on any of our Sensor s12's in the past 8 years is the plug but thats likely because i plug and unplug it several hundred times a week.

It is slightly heavier than my Shark vacuum but it works so much better that it's not a problem at all.

Or a daughter with long hair, I can totally relate. If it last for five years it will pay for itself. We are such a disposable society makes sense to spend a little more. Ya know reach out to the Sebo company, you never know they may take you up on your new design-Guitar Hero guitar/vacuum cleaner, so when Mom tells the kids to “clean up” she means it literally. 💖

I have a pug/pit bull mix and the amount of fur I clean up on a weekly basis is shocking. I have to completely take my Dyson apart several times a year to give it a deep clean and get all the fur out of random places. The only thing keeping me from covering this vacuum is the fact that we have no carpet in our home, just a little tile and predominantly wood floors.

I have also killed many vacuum cleaners over the years. With pets it’s easy to do. That darn roller gets so wrapped up in hair and I hate trying to clip it all out weekly😳

I'm so ready to go back to a bagged vacuum. Have a Dyson and each time I have to clean out the canister its nasty. The debris doesn't drop out like they show but rather I have to (or at least I do) use my finger to loosen the dirt around the filter to get it out. Yuk.

Nice review, you awful vacuum murderer. We have a rainbow vacuum which we like because everything passes through water which captures all of the dust and dirt, you just dump it after. Not sure how it would work with long Max hair though. The Sebo bag system seems to be the best I have seen. 👍

If anyone would've told me I would someday get excited over a video about a vacuum cleaner....I would have laughed SO HARD :p But now I'm like: ok, I want that! :p We've got the Dyson Idon'tknowwhatnumberorseries :p but it is a special 'pets' edition and the roller does come out too but not as easy as yours does. And oh my gosh the amount of dust it still leaves behind... :s BUT it's cordless and I love that...because I have such a bad back(got the results from my nuclear bone scan and it appears I've got severe arthrosis in my lower back so yay!) and so many health issues....that struggling with the cord is the last thing I need! I can do like half of our apartment with the Dyson and then my hand and back hurt so much I need to stop. blergh. :p But if I'm ever in the market for a new one(because right now we just can't afford a new one....my dryer recently broke and we can't even pay to fix that or to buy a new one). Stupid covidthing!
