Joyland is a huge part of my childhood and my family because it brings back great memories of my auntie who worked there for 13 years I believe from 1997 to 2010. 🙂 The Snails, Tubs, Neptune's Kingdom, Jet Cars and The Spook are still going strong after all these years. My auntie told me a very interesting story about working on the Spook Express in 1998 which was the year it opened and she said the queues were very busy all day long for the new popular ride. This park is a little gem and all the rides are amazing. Now at the age of 20 it's still great fun to relive the childhood memories. My favourite ride is The Snails. 🐌 Thank you for this wonderful vlog and I enjoyed watching it! #longlivethesnails

Joyland is a little gem of an amusement Park. So many generations have memories here. Mine is a scratchey Super 8mm film of me and my late Father , fifty years ago on the snails. Also I have fond memories of the Seahorses ride (Neptune Kingdom) which used to reside on Gorleston seafront next to what is now Ocean Bay Amusements. Thanks guys for covering this park. 👍👍👍

Great Vlog brings back fond memories. I first visited Joyland in the 70's when the Snails all had different names. Then in the 90's took my daughters who liked the Tubs and Snails equally. Couple of years ago had the pleasure of going on the snails with my Grand kids. Have to say it looks in better shape today than at my last visit. Great news must find another excuse to visit. I just love it so much great Yarmouth holds a place in my heart .My late Mum and Dad used to take me here and we used to have such great times . I loved the snails as a child, they're such a classic and I really want to go to Joyland and the Pleasure Beach again soon. I like how they changed some things in Neptune's Kingdom, I've only been on the Snails and Tyrolean Tub Twist there and I really want to go on Spook Express, there needs to be more Tyrolean Tub Twists in the UK, didn't there use to be one at Adventure Island in Southend? While you have been through the UK, my and my friend did our French Mega coaster trip. This time, days 9-10, we crossed the Spanish border. No, not for Dos Cervezas Por Favor, but for the oldest steel roller coaster in the world. After this roller coaster there would be three other parks and two fairs throught those two days. So for now, let me tell you about our trip and good experiences at those parks, so if you might want to visit them one day, you will know what to expect: -Day 9: At first hearing, Parque de Atracciones Monte Igueldo may not immediately ring a bell, Montaña Suiza perhaps a little more. This is the oldest working steel roller coaster in the world. This roller coaster rides its rounds on a concrete track in which steel rails are incorporated. It is a so-called Scenic Railway, where the track resembles a kind of tramway. A wooden train with a brakeman on top of the track, who determines the speed. Montaña Suiza has been running around there since 1928 and is great fun and the views you get from this coaster are quite impressive. After enjoying the view for a while, and having a nice bite to eat in this Spanish park, it was time to travel on to our next stop: Bid'A Parc. This children's park offers some family-friendly attractions and many bouncy castles. We mainly stopped for the Pomme, our umpteenth Wacky Worm of the trip. Thanks to a reduced rate for a short visit of up to one hour, this was a cheap stop. Fifteen minutes later we went back on the road, towards our next park, Kid Parc. This park opened the Pirat'Express roller coaster this year and gave its Big Apple roller coaster a makeover to a pirate theme. Kid Parc turned out to be a very charming park, with a lot of decoration and a lot of greenery. The first attraction we tried out also became our first credit in the park, Chenille Pirate. You will never guess, another Wacky Worm roller coaster, but one with a very nice theme that it got since this year. Previously, this roller coaster went through life as simply Pomme. A little further we already found credit number two: Pirat'Express. This attraction is the latest addition to Kid Parc and previously traveled before the arrival to the park over the French fairs as Indiana Jones Le Temple Maudit. This job is not a real high flyer, but it is still more interesting than a simple Wacky Worm/Big Apple, of course. Our last attraction in this park was Boulets de Canon, or translated: the Cannonballs. This Spinning Coaster from Reverchon immediately stands out because of the beautifully finished station building that the Belgian company Theme-Co was still responsible for. The track itself is also quite fun and the rides spin quite well. Entusaites may know this as a clone of Souris Mécaniques at Jardin d'Acclimatation . After that we came to our hotel, getting ready for next day at France. -Day 10: Our next park was so close to Kid Parc that you almost literally hit the roller coaster when you walk outside Kid Parc. The park La Coccinelle is literally right next to our previous park. In this park you can discover a family roller coaster. This park also appeared to radiate a certain cosiness. We started our adventure here with a walk through the petting zoo. Of course we could not resist the call of the 'Train de la Mine' roller coaster for long. This roller coaster is a creation of the French builder Soquet. A trend that (except for the Big Apples/Wacky Worms) was a constant on our trip. Once again, this Company built a very nice family roller coaster that was also very nicely decorated. Since the temperature again exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, we decided to join the Log Flume Le splash river as well. It was not immediately the wettest of its kind, but it was still fun. A five-minute drive from our previous two packages, we went looking for even more credits at the fair. But we were a bit unlucky here. Luna Parc du Bassin would not open until 8 pm, which gave us two more hours to have a bite to eat at the local catering industry, or simply McDonald's. We even visited a nearby shoping center. Luna Parc du Bassin was finally going to open and we were eager to score our next credit. Yes, we know, it is only a Big Apple, but hey, a credit is a credit hey ... La Pomme turned out to be a “special”, because during the five laps that drove the track there were smoke and even foresee snow effects. After driving for a long time, we arrived at our last stop of the day, the fairground Luna Parc Lesparre Médoc. At this fair we decided to immediately walk towards credit one, namely the Magic Pomme. Yes, yet another simple Big Apple. Only good for the credit. Fortunately, this fair offered an incredibly good 'Jet Star' besides the umpteenth apple. This roller coaster from Schwarzkopf turned out to be an absolute winner. The roller coaster was rescued a few years ago from the closed French amusement park Holly Park, where it languished for quite some time. In an even longer past you could find this roller coaster in the Austrian Wiener Prater. We started our ride full of expectations and wow (!), What a speed this track is! The first drop was also delicious! This has to be the best of its kind. We quickly decided to make a second ride. The manager of the track was also very proud of his attraction and he was only too happy to talk about the changes (and especially which improvements) he has made. If you come close to a fair where this Jet Star from Montalétang James is located, don't hesitate and stop for a ride!
