That’s my fiancés good friend in this video, playing the addict. He wrote a really profound song & made an incredible video to match. I'd be so grateful if you could react to it, or at least give it a listen. His name is Mic DeVine & the song is ‘Way Down We Go’. It was dedicated to friends who he lost to this isidious epidemic. Please give him a shot because he’s AMAZING!

My brother is on the streets of Spokane addicted to drugs and alcohol and it’s so hard to see him like this because when he’s sober he’s the greatest guy. I hope one day he can get out of this situation!

Definitely hard and sad to see. My wife's brother has been addicted to drugs for years now and it just sucks knowing that that person will never be the same again.

I went from rock bottom having nothing and being homeless, to getting clean and building my life back up. I learned so much from such a dark portion of my life. Life is a lesson! I regret none of it. I have been clean for 9 years now, This song hits so hard.

I've lost far to many people to addiction. This song was like a punch straight to my gut. I, myself battled addiction & by the grace of God, was able to get clean. I have 11 years clean this year. Had i not gotten sober, i know i wouldn't have survived losing my sister to addiction. Unfortunately, i had to love her from afar bcuz she refused to get help & the alcohol & drugs made her become someone she wasn't. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do was, say goodbye while she was lying in a hospital bed, on life support. I wish she'd have believed in herself the way we all did. Sadly, addiction not only changes the life of the user, but everyone around them and it creates conflict & dissension within families and friends, sometimes that are irreparable. Joyner, is lyrical genius & the way he conveys his lyrics on such "taboo" topics never ceases to amaze me. Jellys voice is so hauntingly beautiful and melted my heart. Proud of you for getting clean & staying sober! I know it isn't an easy thing to do. Much love from Michigan ❤

AMAZING!!!! I started crying almost right away. I love how you highlighted that Joyner can see stories from both sides. I first became obsessed with him when he released "Your Heart" with J Cole. Now this one is my new favorite. Love how music can make us all feel and heal!!! Thanks for reacting Fisch! Also, if you haven't heard of "Your Heart" by him...please react :). The 808s in that one kill me as well as J. Cole's verse❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

I think my favorite part is the lyrics of jelly rolls chorus. It's a double edged sword. Cuz it reflects both perspectives of sober and addict. And it hits hard in any direction. It's literally 50/50 depending on who's listening. The sober or the addict! 🤯

Ive been dropping this comment on every one of these reactions because i feel people need to see it. I was addicted to fentanyl for almost 7 years but june 12 will be my 2 years clean. It was a hell of a fucking road and it took me multiple tries before i finally figured it out. But here i am. Now im in the process of becoming a Certified Recovery Specialist that way i can help people that are in the shoes i once was. For anybody who might come on this video and might be struggling with addiction please remember that youre bigger than this and you can overcome it! It takes alot of work and dedication but i promise you if you put in the work happiness is on the horizon! #WeDoRecover

Lost my uncle to a meth addiction. He was in and out of prison his whole life. He died face down on someone else's front yard from heart failure. He always strived to stay clean while he was out. He loved being a part of the family and seeing everyone but when the lonely nights got to him the addiction always won. When he was clean he was as kind as anyone you ever met. Sure people make bad choices to lead to addiction but once it has you, its no longer a choice. Its something you actively have to fight against 24/7 and alot of people just aren't strong enough no matter how bad they want to be. The addiction will wear you down and feed on you while you're weak. People can't be there for you every second of the day and that's just reality. The fight can be won though. I'm living proof. I was addicted to opioids at 17. If I had any less of an amazing family I might not have beaten it but I did. It can be done. But you have to want it more than you want to be high. Its ok to need help.

I just lost my daughter to addiction in January fent OD. This song had both my son and I in tears. It was like watching a reel of our life. The hardest thing I ever had to do was give my daughter to GOD because I was raising her son and I just couldn't risk his safety. After her death I asked myself did I sacrifice my daughter for my grand child? Then I remember all the times I got her home semi clean then she would just leave in the middle of the night. I'm completely devastated but I also know she's now in a place no pain no scars or people using and abuser her. The response from the addict in this video are things my daughter has said to me which broke my heart.

So I have been clean five years now, I have been doing a lot of soul-searching. And research, The government does not want you to get clean. We need to make that understood, The state of addiction is what the government uses as population control, This is my opinion and I stand ten toes down, I can't even count how many people I have lost, including my brother, We as a community need. Do a better job. At understanding people and accepting them for who they are. You can't preach to someone when you never went through. That struggle because they are going to feel like you're just nagging and hating on them

Love Joyner, and Jelly too DUUHHH, but Joyner just piling it up to “it’s just a decision or choice”, I hate that. Him saying I love you and I’ve been reaching out but let’s ignore that the last time the addict did answer or take time to spend with you, you weren’t a positive. You might’ve been the reason they got drunk or high that night. There’s plenty of reasons that person may have not answered the phone this time and it’s all automatically the addicts all doing because addiction. Addiction becomes an excuse for everyone around you to have opinions yet negate every one of yours because ADDICT. Joyner just gave the typical “I’m a victim of addiction but not an addict myself”. THEN THE SECOND VERSE JUST STARTED 😭😭
