I got the bare basics of live looping with loopy hd as IAA in GB ios with a two track device interface for guitar and microphone no problem, yet now I cannot find a way to loop drums and synth sounds from GB ios to loopy. I'm hoping to hear back from the forum. I tried AudioBus, I tried a Auv looper plugin called Enso looper in GB ios, not user friendly as I cannot control it with my Blueboard. I finally broke down and ordered the lightning to usb adapter today to try and figure out another way to use my quipment. i have an MAUDIO interface that ive not plugged into my ios yet. It has midi ports. Not to mention my keystation 88 that ive not tried with ios yet. I already have a usb hub. At this stage my goal is to find out all the ways I can use my existing equipment for live looping. If anyone uses these apps and or knows a bit about live looping with any type of equipment, I'd like to ask if the there's anything you could share on this topic that might be helpful? Please share. I feel like I'll be forced to buy an expensive midi loop station if I can't get my setup to function the way I want. I also feel clueless about what is involved. I'm hoping the adapter I just ordered will shed some light. My old macbook is not compatible with the Blueboard unless I buy a usb adapter, that's all fine, but Iv not found a looper that is as straight forward as loopy is for mac. I looked into some of the mac looper plugins, but had no idea which one would be what I need. Much too time consuming. Like reading this post!!!!! Hahhah!!! I can feel my muscle memory fading away as I read and watch tutorials and get no answers!!! Help!!!

Hey adrian. To answer your questions, GarageBand doesnt really play well with others unless its the end destination 🤷‍♂️ You can send stuff to GarageBand on Audiobus for example but you cant sent from it. Great idea getting the USB 3 camera adapter, that will unlock a lot for you like your Keystation 88. Have a look at Quantiloop app.. its like an RC300 but on an iPad. Amazingly versitile. The blueboard works well too.

I do use a Blueboard, and Quantiloop was an app that I had downloaded but hadn't got into, but now I will go check it out in detail. I so appreciate your helpful input! Thank you kindly! @@AdrianClement the Headrush Looperboard is amazing and is almost everything i ever wanted in one box (always want more things haha). I think you will be surprised with what you can do with Quantiloop and how versatile it is.

Hi 👋 So with GarageBand yes, with Loopy HD, no but you can set the metronome on loopy so you can hear it and the audience cant. 👍🏻 Hope that helps.

With GarageBand, yes but not in the Live Loops section. With something like Loopy HD there is a way for multiple instruments yet.

Hello. Soooo.. I normally dont use the click but you can alway use something like Audiobus to bring something better in. Regarding my setup. Yes. Mine is the 2i2 going through the USB3 camera connection kit. Reason for that is so I can generate power for it as well as charge the iPad. 👍🏻

Yea I will certainly give you a shout if I have any questions once the big boy arrives. I am hoping to take one unit to work and that’s it. I currently take a way too much and I use to use Bodyrez for my Martin 000-28 but I got a LRBaggs Session Align and it’s really good. But hopefully I can get a good acoustic sound with the HeadRush alone. I am playing with the idea of a Acoustic Play but not sure yet.

Hey John. So when you start a loop for recording, it records on the one but you can just mute and unmute a loop whenever you like. The loop will keep going just muted but then it’s up to you when you unmute it. When you start a loop in loopy hd it stops immediately, but I want it to stop at first beat from the cycle. The same thing I want for the start of a loop, otherwise the switch between loops don’t happen real tight. I just can’t find the answer to that question and I suppose that Loopy HD doensn’t support it ?

Let me try and understand what you’re saying. Are you saying that when you have finished recording your loop, you wanted to go straight into overdub mode or are you saying that you want it to stop recording before the bar ends? You can change the behaviours of how it records and what it does after recording. Go into settings, then track management to change this.

I don’t talk ‘bout recording neither overdubbing. I ment just the start and stop of a loop. It starts and stops immediatly when you push the loop. I want it to finish the cycle.

Ahhhh I see what you mean now 🤦🏻 Yeah I don’t think it has the capability which is mad cause it has it to prime a recording at it reaches bar 1 beat 1. It’s worth emailing the guy who made it. That would be a grande addition to loopy HD. support@atastypixel.com

Hey. Thats a great question. I use an app called Audiobus that routes apps and effects into another DAW or input app like Loopy HD. Think its now AudioBus 3. Brilliant app.

@@JohnPaulMusicUK I also use it but it doesn't work like I want! You can only listen to the loop omce it is recorded, you need to know before hand what you are going to record and then rig it to audiobus and hope it stays sync, I think I going to ise quantiloop
