Here the Teuton Terror Hans Schmidt takes on the incredibly popular Ilio Dipaolo. This is an exciting match between two of the greats from the Golden Age of televised wrestling.

Pete Sacco was a local Buffalo ref ( and bar owner). The boys frequented his lounge after shows.

The commentator came close to breaking kayfabe when he claimed Schmidt,though born in Germany,grew up in Canada where he was trained by Yvon Robert (not Roberts).Actually Schmidt not only grew up in Canada but he was born there too.(Joliet,Quebec).His real name was Guy Larose and he began his career in Boston under his real name-as a face!!!!Paul Bowser who ran the Boston promotion gave him his new name and identity.Strangely enough there was another French Canadian wrestler-forget his name-who used the ring name "Guy Larose" (not his real name.)And once,the real Guy Larose (Hans Schmidt)squared off against the phoney "Guy Larose".Not sure who won the battle of the Laroses.

@@hieronyous I watched the Grunt and groaners when I was 14 years old. As i got older I tired of the fake predictability of the whole thing. I became even more weary of listening to them

I take llio dipaolo over those legends they have in wwe that came from all that after lori beth's departure from nickelodeon in the late 90's I prefer in living color after Kenan ivory waynes departure from in living color season 3 on fox because of the nwo wolfpack
