The Tōkaidō Line is one of the five core radials out of Tokyo, heading to the south. With a massive six track trunk between Tokyo and Yokohama via Kawasaki, it carries an enormous amount of service. Local services on the Keihin-Tōhoku Line through-operate past Yokohama onto the Negishi Line (with additional Yokohama Line through service), Tōkaidō Line services run down the coast all the way to Odawara and Shizuoka Prefecture (with branches on both sides of the Yamanote Loop - Shōnan-Shinjuku Line services to the west side and Tōkaidō Line services to the east side, with most using the Ueno-Tōkyō Line for through service onto the Utsunomiya/Tōhoku Main Line and Takasaki Lines), and Yokosuka Line services operate south onto the Yokosuka Line past Ōfuna as well as north onto the Sōbu Line.
In addition to these services, there are others, including limited expresses and Saikyō Line through services onto the Sōtetsu Main Line. The Shōnan-Shinjuku Line service also runs onto the Yokosuka Line, or at least the unconstrained portions.
This video features clips primarily from Yokohama and Kamakura, and does not contain any footage of the Tōkaidō Main Line west of Ōfuna as I didn't visit that part of the region on this trip, or footage of the Negishi Line. Some footage is taken from parallel Keikyū and Sōtetsu infrastructure, and will also feature in the videos for those systems.
