ESPN Top Rank rankings OFFICIALLY changed Lomas record to 14 - 0 - 1 which makes it a draw now. And without a doubt Salido in that fight needed to be disqualified for all those damn low blows on Loma. Ref acting as if he’s blind. Worst referee ever. Lomachenko would literally embarrass the shit out of Salido now.

Lomachenko is a brilliant boxer. The best skill set I’ve ever seen. I tell you this though. His entertainment factor is off the charts. You know your gonna see action bc he’s an action fight. It’s crazy to say considering how great he is defensively. He makes opponents miss constantly but more importantly in his fights you don’t see running, clinching or any real lulls in the fight. His pace is unreal. He’s a real boxing treasure and I hope he gets the big fights and continues to succeed. He’s just a tremendous pleasure to watch.

Tracey Taggart he came in really overweight, it’s not like he missed it by a pound or 2. The fight was at 126 and he came in like 140 plus and yes he was hitting Loma low all night and the ref never did anything. Had the ref took one point it could have been a draw. On top of all that most people did think Loma did enough to win because the punches that were low should have never been counted as landed blows which if u remove all the fouls Loma out landed him by a large amount.

Miami Vice he fought a 12 round championship fight in his second fight from fighting 3 3 min rounds or 4 2 min rounds. Fighters don’t do that until their 20 something fight. He’s fought 10 out of 13 champions. He’s tried to fight everyone title holder in every weight class he’s been in and had to keep moving up to get fights. He’s called out the biggest names in all the weight classes he’s been in. Not sure what else he could do other then move up again but he’s already fighting in a weight class he’s to small for. Your holding him to higher standards then any other fighter in the history of boxing.

I'm a huge fan of Loma, but when Joe rants about how quickly into his professional career he won a world championship, I'm like, you do realise he had 396 amateur fights before that, including gold at two consecutive Olympics, right? The real question is why it took him so long to turn pro?

I think it is because he wanted to make a massive mark on history. How hard is his amateur record going to be to better? He got punched in the nuts over 20 times and still nearly knocked salido out. Salido lost that fight even cheating, judges were nearly as blind as the ref. Annoying thing is there is no way salido will rematch him. He avenged his only loss in the amateurs, he won't get that chance in the pros.

Judging by your response I guess no matter what I say you won't even re-consider your reaction... Loma is 100% the most entertaining boxer out there right now. Watching him fight you don't know whether to watch his hands or his feet. The guy is unreal. I hope he fights Garcia then maybe in a year or 2 Gervonta Davis. The way he beat a top fighter like Linares shows how good this guy really is. Linares is a top class fighter and Loma done him good. The only way to have a chance of beating Loma is to go out and smother him and don't let him move, but so far nobody has been able to do that. Even in his fight he lost, he wasn't at his best but he got fucked over by poor refereeing and judging, but he accepted it and learned from it and hasn't looked back since. Loma and Billy Joe Saunders are the 2 most technically gifted entertaining boxers out there right now hands down. Sure canelo, ggg, the big 3 heavyweights, Crawford and uysk are all top fighters but in terms of entertainment and skill saunders and loma are on a different level. It's just a shame about the drug test thing with saunders giving him a setback before his big fight in America with Andrade. The brits and Ukrainians are at the top right now no doubt about it.

@@relativelybasic I think you're probably right, Davis is at the very least 2 years away from being able to challenge him I think, but you're right, Mayweather knows how to milk the cash cow. The longer the fight takes to happen the more money its worth and if Davis loses his stock drops big time for big money fights.
