Also a possessed mask takes over the school. Persona 2 Innocent Sin - Rumors are becoming reality. Featuring demons, a questionable historical figure from real life and Lovecraftian horror. Persona 2 Eternal Punishment - Rumors are again becoming reality, Lovecraftian horror wants revenge. Persona 3 - Teenagers fight a supernatural entity that wants to destroy humanity. Enemies are no longer demons but now the entities born from negative human emotion Persona 3 FES - The epilogue for P3 is a time loop. Persona 4 - Jojo Part 4 + Scooby Doo murder mystery. Persona 4 Arena - The canon fighting game sequel, featuring some characters from P3. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax - Part 2 of the fighting game. Persona 4 Dancing All Night - The canon rhythm game. Persona 5 - Phantom thieves fight back against a corrupt society. Persona Q - Questionably canon first person dungeon crawler crossover between P3 and P4 Persona Q2 - Electric Boogaloo featuring the cast of P5. I won't give any spoilers, but don't play through the P4 spin-off games (particularly Arena and Dancing) until you complete Persona 4 and Persona 3 first!

So I think you didn't noticed it, but in Persona Q2 opening, both Yumi Kawamura and Shihoko Hirata (the singers for P3 and P4 respectively) are singing along Lyn, not only Lotus Juice.

The whole thing with p3 and the way they summoned their Personas was actually a big controversy here in the states. Think it even made headlines

the deal with the naming of the games, especially back in the ps2 era is messy the SMT name was put onto P3 and P4 nearly everywhere outside of asia to help it sell, since it was already an established brand at the time, it was dropped after vanilla P4 the ps2 era had a lot of spinoffs, notably Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2 and the Devil Summoner Raidou games, which all also had the SMT name on the box despite not being mainline SMT games theres tons of series' and subseries' in the whole MegaTen franchise, it can be a headache to understand but its also kind of fascinating

17:26 The reasoning behind this could be that the dog has already (as an animal but all the same) accepted death and its mortality into its mind since they have to be aware of this for its instincts to be honed towards survival, for humans they don't usually think about death and their mortality every day but it could be easier for an animal to summon their persona since it doesn't have a lot of capacity for thought like the human mind to be worrying about anything else, for context Persona 3's theme is centered around death and that's what dictates a lot of the symbolism behind its mechanics.

Btw not saying it as a spoiler but to get the other secret palace you have to max out the councilor confident you know when you done it right when akechi appears at the end of the game where joker gets taken into interrogation again but akechi stops that from happening and takes jokers place also the game would still continue on New Year’s Day on the calander

My favorite Persona game is Persona 4 Golden. I hope you enjoy all the Persona games! I love Persona 1 and 2 as well, and I think these games will all each give you unique experiences

The kid was in the 4th grade in p3(2009) and in high school in p5 He also loved track and the teacher in p5 said ryougi dyed his hair yellow which looks like the kids favorite color and ryougi in p5 talks about the p3 high school

I recommend to just play the game where do you want to start with, as the main titles story didn't relate to each other (except Persona 2, which recommended to play Innocent Sin first then Eternal Punishment). I find that most people admire the very first Persona game they played.

One of my favorite openings is Persona 2 Eternal Punishment PSP.

Persona isn't a spin off. So this isn't a spoiler if you know shin Megami tendría games. In smt nightmare for the PS2 it is explained that there are 3 power fighting to dominate the universe, the goddess side, the lusifer side, and the human side, so in that game you have 3 endings one for each side and the 3 a dings are cannon. The smt universe divided in 3 one per side that won, the goddess side spawned the persona universe, the lusifer ending spawned the smt universe and the human side spawned the smt spinoff like the one game from the D's I think is strange journey. This is really important if you plan on playing the games knowing what the hell happened.

Chie is my favorite character in the persona series... 2nd place goes to Teddy. He's bloody hillarious. Third goes to Akechi. That guy is... intense in Royal.

So the story of persona as a series is interesting Originaly it was Shin Megami Tensei If... Where it took place in essentially the same place as the OG SMT but a few desicions where different with other MCs which lead to another result Then from this the first Persona was made, it was actually in the same place of If..., but once again another MC, BUT, you can find and talk to the If... characters in it, so technically both stories are happening at the same time, but it becomes its own complete series apart from SMT

Just when you continue royal make sure you complete the councilor confident (you only need to get it to rank 9 the last rank will happen on its own)

Modern Persona are basically confirmed to take place within a span of few years don't know how much canonicity there is between them tho persona 3 takes place around about 2009, P4 around 2011 and P5 is mid 2010s The older games are pretty neglected by atlus so we don't really know tho some people say they may take place in same timeline too P.S. oh btw the butterfly is in every Persona
