Just masterful piano playing. What a pity that we cannot hear her a recital where she is playing solo without any orchestra!

Ohhh, Martha. An astute interpretation of a wonderful example of Bach's mastery of the keyboard and human emotions (Sarabande). Argerich starts with a peppery, animated Prelude. I first glimpse her extraordinary musicianship in the lovely Allemande; which almost plays itself, but some bungle it. Not Martha. She follows the waves of forward motion from one musical phrase to the next. There are no bar lines. Gorgeous. A bouncy Courante -- then, the exquisite Sarabande. She shows such sensitivity!! With a hint of rubato when seemly. Gorgeous, nuanced. I didn't want it to end!! Bouree II is beautifully captivating. A stunning performance of Bach. Thank you, David.

Martha Argerich can not do wrong, whatever she plays . . . at least in my book. There are some admired pianists, whom I 'grant' liberties. She is one of them. Thank you!
