In readiness for the first 'Midland Pullman' excursion of 2021, the Locomotive Services Limited's Blue Pullman liveried HST would travel from Crewe to Eastleigh on Friday 28th May, with the motive power being provided by Class 43s Nos. 43046 'Geoff Drury 1930-1999' and 43055. This was a empty stock move, in preparation for the 'Cornish Coastal Pullman', which is scheduled to run on Saturday 29th May. The charter will run from Eastleigh to Penzance, running via Basingstoke, Reading, Swindon and Westbury, before heading into the West Country.
Having traversed the West Coast and Great Western Main Lines, the train is seen on the final stretch to Eastleigh, on the South Western Main Line. The HST is seen speeding past Micheldever, between Basingstoke and Winchester.
