I would be willing to bet a 2.0 version will drop eventually. But so far I think it was a great idea and design. I agree though, a bit wider so you can run 2 rifle mags, etc would be nice

I’m opposition, I think they could of made it smaller at 2 rows of molle instead of 3. And have it dedicated as a one rifle mag or 2 pistol mag. I was looking at blue force gear booboo pouch at the 7 o clock position. But this pouch put me on pause for now as far as possible future possibilities

@@lima3dynamics I'm curious will esstac inserts work and take up less space? Also have you found any padded pouch insert design that mag work for holding things like NVG's? Think along the lines of a Defense Mechanisms padded insert

One of the things on my list to try is an esstac insert soon as I get back to the house because I had the same question. And not sure about a padded insert. I’ve never damaged my nods not having an insert but I know it could happen. Spiritus is releasing a pad insert but to save money, any pad wrapped in tape, cut to shape should work

I think it would be great. I haven’t had a duty belt in a few years but if I still used one I would have this on there for notepad, signal, medical, sharpie, 1 mag and a TQ. Plus whatever else I found along the way that I could put in it. Probably find a way to let my key keeper hang inside there was well. It’s not a huge pouch but like everything else getting in and out of a vehicle, you may have to adjust it to get comfortable. I think it’s definitely worth trying out in that role.

@@lima3dynamics So a follow up to my jsta pouch experience so far. I've worked several 12 plus hour shifts with it and I am really enjoying it and its been well worth the money. It allowed me to go from a triple pistol mag pouch on the front of my belt down to a double and take my dedicated rifle mag pouch and mini med kit off my belt which has been a tremendous benefit to long days with a duty belt on. I have the jsta pouch set up with 1 30 round pmag, a glock g21 13 round magazine, 1 cats tourniquet (I have another one mounted to my holster), 2 small packs of quick clot, 2 chest seals and a couple small packs of compressed gauze. Even with that loaded into the pouch it doesn't feel bulky or in the way at all and is comfortable riding in and getting out of my patrol unit. I'm wearing it at around the 8-9 o'clock position on my belt. It has freed up a lot of real estate where I was having to wear things more towards the 6-7 o'clock positions and was very uncomfortable towards the end of the shift. I would encourage anyone who wears some variation of a duty belt to strongly consider the jsta. Thank you for the review of it again and the advice on giving it a try.

I should have a rephrased that. Yes you can run pistol and rifle with the Haley insert and single spiritus insert but it will be a tight fit.

Make your own insert, use a esstac insert + Velcro tape. Slimmer and faster than Haley.

The SAW nutsacks, I think they would. The 200 round drums, no way.

We definitely appreciate the support! We will be do some AK mag tests and post the results. I’ve got some circle 10 mags, us palm, Bakelite, Korean, polytech and a few other styles to try out on the mag inserts to get some info out.

This is late reply but I’ve been able to run AK mags in the 556 insert. You kinda have to wiggle it in because of the lip but it slips right up n no problem.

Rifle mags do sit a little low. Great thing about the pouch is it isn’t restricted to just being used for mags.

It does set low, but the spiritus mag insert has a bottom so you can adjust it.
