My fear now is to be separated from God and the community he’s built in heaven. I fear no evil nor the ones of it, I fear being away from the creator and his goodness.

Pray to God for gladness. Be glad as children, as the birds of heaven. And let not the sin of men confound you in your doings. Fear not that it will wear away your work and hinder its being accomplished. Do not say, 'Sin is mighty, wickedness is mighty, evil environment is mighty, and we are lonely and helpless, and evil environment is wearing us away and hindering our good work from being done.' Fly from that dejection, children! Fyodor Dostoyevsky

It's true, fascinating to think about but if God were to open Hell up and offer the damned pardon and paradise, they would reject it from their intractable hatred for Him. They, in a mysterious way, would rather be in literal Hell forever than humble themselves and ask forgiveness one time.

Jesus goes out of His way to offer despairing souls at death a final grace of repentance. When we know of souls that may be in spiritual peril, especially the dying, we should pray that they would respond to this grace of repentance. Jesus revealed this truth to St. Faustina, the great Apostle of Divine Mercy. In a crucial passage from the Diary of St. Faustina, Jesus converses with a despairing soul in a way that gives us reason to hope as He offers the soul this final grace and comes to it three times: Jesus: O Soul steeped in darkness, do not despair. All is not yet lost. Come and confide in your God who is love and mercy. In the soul arises this reply: "For me there is no mercy," and it falls into greater darkness, a despair which is a foretaste of hell and makes it unable to draw near to God. Jesus calls to the soul a third time, but the soul remains deaf and blind, hardened and despairing. Then the mercy of God begins to exert itself, and without any cooperation from the soul, God grants it final grace. If this too is spurned, God will leave the soul in this self-chosen disposition for eternity. This grace emerges from the merciful Heart of Jesus and gives the soul a special light by means of which the soul begins to understand God's effort; but conversion depends on its own will. The soul knows that this, for her, is final grace and, should it show even a flicker of good will, the mercy of God will accomplish the rest (1486). Notice here how far the Merciful Savior is willing to go to save the despairing soul. Yet, the soul must show at least "a flicker of good will" since its "conversion depends on its own will." Consistent with the witness of Scripture, this is the same Jesus who prayed from the cross for those who had crucified Him, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Lk 23:34). And as St. Paul tells us, God "wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:4). God is, indeed, rich in mercy, but He does not force Himself upon us. Pope Benedict XVI underscored this very point in talking about Judas and his betrayal. The Holy Father said that Christ, "in His invitations [to Judas] to follow Him along the way of the beatitudes," "does not force [Judas's] will or protect it from the temptations of Satan, respecting human freedom."

@@lauradawnb It's a difficult thing for us to understand as all we know is life with time. In time you can change your mind all the time, choose to better your life at any time. But in both Heaven and Hell, time is no more. The final state we're in when we die, is the state we'll be in forever. And just as no one in Heaven can change their last disposition and go to Hell, no one in Hell can go to Heaven. Hell believe it or not exists from yes God's justice but primarily His mercy. Think about all the super anti-religious atheists and people that get pissed if you even mention the name of Jesus; do you think someone who hates God their entire life is going to want to spend eternity with Him? No, and when they die they become fixed in their hatred for Him, just as the blessed in Heaven are forever fixed in their love for God, so separation from Him to them is actually mysteriously what they want, their heart's desire, and yes a mercy.

I hope NO ONE watches this Satan’s channel. Only a creature like Satan could invent this abominable and ultra-blasphemous doctrine of eternal life for the unsaved in the so-called “hell.” “Hell” is a MISTRANSLATION of the Hebrew word “sheol” (grave, underground), and the Greek word “hades” (also grave or underground), and “Gehenna”. And Gehenna was a rubbish dump near Jerusalem where they burned the refuse and bodies of dead animals (and the worse criminals). That was a place of decay, decomposition and DESTRUCTION-not the place of eternal torment or eternal existence. So the word “hell” shouldn’t even be in the Bible. Tell me, can your electric lamp give you any light when it is UNPLUGGED from the power point-from the source of electrical energy? Or your washing machine, can it work when it is “SEPARATED” (disconnected) from the source of electrical power? And WHO is the ONLY Source of life-giving energy? Who is the ONLY SOURCE of LIFE? So what makes you think that those who have died unrepentant, unconverted, in other words “SEPARATED” from God, can exist-and exist FOREVER???! Apostle John writes: “He who has the Son has life; he who does NOT have the Son of God does NOT have life.” (1. John 5:12) “DOES NOT HAVE LIFE!!!” So if he does NOT have (eternal) life what DOES he have? Paul will tell us: “For the wages of sin is DEATH …” (Romans 6:23) He has DEATH. Eternal death-annihilation. Paul continues in the same text: “… but the gift of God is eternal LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) In the book of the prophet Ezekiel, God Himself tells us: “Behold, all souls are Mine. … . The SOUL that sinneth, the same shall DIE. (Ezekiel 18:4 Douay - Rheims) “For God So loved the world that He gave His onlybegotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should nit PERISH but have everlasting LIFE.” (John 3:16) Should we consult the dictionary for this word “PERISH” and ses if “perish” actually means “live forever”-or exist forever “SEPARATED” from the Only Source of life? John is clear: the unsaved have “NO LIFE.” (1. John 5:12) James writes: “Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of hos way will save a SOUL from DEATH and cover a multitude of sins.” (James 5:20) “‘Do I have ANY pleasure at all that the wicked should DIE?’ says the LORD GOD,’ [God says “DIE”-not live forever or burn forever in the so-called “hell”!!!] and not that he should turn from his ways and LIVE?’” (Ezekiel 18:23) “‘Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourself a new heart and a new spirit. For why sholuld you DIE …? For I have NO pleasure in the DEATH of the one who dies,’ says the LORD GOD. ‘Therefore turn and LIVE!’“ (Ezekiel 18:31, 32) If God clearly declares that He has NO pleasure in the DEATH of anyone who dies, how on earth can any Christian imagine that God would let the unrepentant sinners exist forever-and in some horrible place of endless torment? What a horrible, slanderous, blasphemous thought about our God!!! UNTHINKABLE! There is not a hint of “hell” or eternal existence in the so-called “hell” in these texts. But only two destinies: either LIFE or DEATH. Time to return to the Bible. Time to drop the doctrines that crept into the Church from paganism and spiritualism. Only God possesses immortality (1. Timothy 6:16), therefore only He can grant us everlasting live, when Jesus returns. Time to study the Bible diligently and see that the Bible DOES NOT teach the “immortal soul” theory, and with it closely associated doctrine of eternal existence in the so-called “hell.” The Bible teaches the RESURRECTION of the DEAD-not consciousness / life immediately after death. Please find the following texts in the Bible and consider them carefully: Matthew 16:27 John 5:28, 29 Luke 14:14 John 14:2, 3 Revelation 22:12

No it does not make sense at all. It is slanderous. Slandering and blaspheming the character of God. Go and unplug your refrigerator, or your washing machine from the source of electrical energy and see if they will still work. Come on, go and “SEPARATE” them from the source of power, and see if they still work. And WHO is the ONLY SOURCE of live-giving energy? Who is the Only Source of life and consciousness? Think! And carefully consider the following texts: Romans 6:23 Ezekiel 18:4 1. John 5:12 John 3:16 (“perish”) Ezekiel 18:23, 31, 32 Matthew 16:27 John 5:28, 29 Luke 14:14 John 14:2, 3 Revelation 22:12 The doctrine of eternal life in the so-called “hell” is SATANIC. And the doctrine of the “immortal soul” is NOT scriptural.

IMHO what we are dealing with is "original sin" universally meaning no one is "good" we cannot see how God sees... we can only come to Him in humility like children. There is more than enough evidence that man has gone astray and if we atempt to understand God we "look through a glass darkly" yet we have the voice of Jesus Christ and His Church. In these days this Church is being purged like everything else, but it is here. Take comfort in the Gloria ... "as it was in the beginning is now and will ever be" Amen.

I have personally been in God's presence several times in my life, when He lifted the veil and spoke to me. The first few times, I was a young, unrepentant sinner. Even though I could feel His immense love, it was absolutely the most terrifying experience of my life. 30 years passed, and I matured and tried to work out my issues and get closer to God, and He came again to tell me I did not need to worry about my son, that my son was on his own path and it would not mirror my path. This time, I could still feel His love flowing out of Him, but I felt no fear. No different than my own parents telling me everything was okay.

The visions of Hell are like blue and black similar to Limbo. Any lower and whoever is viewing those levels and layers of Hell in visions may as well be condemned to those regions and be in eternal torment when they pass on. Those transferring to Limbo are from lower portions of Hell and waiting to go to Purgatory (strictly Catholic word for the place in between to be judged of whether or not to escape Hell and be free of sins of the world). I get a lot of strange visions in dreams and nightmares.

That makes a lot of sense. The life we live here, whether we live according to the flesh or according to Jesus Christ. If we have lived a life of fulfilling the flesh and we meet God when we die the pain it is going to cause our soul will be immense and our own soul will want to leave the presence of God, because He is so Holy, therefore flinging itself into Hell or Purgatory where the purification of the soul will begin and once the soul is at peace with itself and accepts the love of God , that soul will be comfortable enough to be in the presence of God in heaven. Amen ❤️🙏☘️🔥 Repent and start living your life for Jesus for the Kingdom of God is at hand.

According to what I learned both from catechism classes as well as the writings of Pope Benedict XVI, when the Bible describes the feelings people have in hell, it describes them using analogies with feelings we know to describe feelings we don't know. Ratzinger guesses that a good example of that is if we try to describe the feelings of extreme loneliness and abandonment, which he guesses are the worst feelings someone can possibly have. And then he goes on to say it might be something similar to that, like some type of emotional unbearable torment, but not necessarily physical. Although, if we are between 2 lords, one being God and the other being the devil, it would make sense that if we choose to follow the rebellion against God, we'd fall under the authority of the devil, and that he could get the chance to mess with us, at least before he's finally dealt with as well.

Trust this interpretation and the saints who have been given glimpses of the sufferings and torment in Hell. Too much of the Truth has been watered down in the last several generations because Satan is working overtime to ruin more souls. Hence, many do not even believe anymore that there is Hell. Imagine how sad "only" separation from God would be like -- there would be no reason for love, mercy, justice, peace. And evil would be allowed, not only to exist for a time (like it is now), but to FLOURISH beyond our wildest imaginations. Hell for Eternity is like that...on steroids. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual torment with no let-up.

Fallen angels are demons. There are different levels of "standing in the presence of God". For example, in Exodus, when He appears before Moses, he says: "You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live." (we can examine later why that is). But we know the Lord appeared to Abraham, and Abraham could totally contemplate that apparition. The only way that it can't be a contradiction is if we consider the Lord was revealing Himself at different degrees, in each of these instances, thus making it safe to assume, to some level the devil can have contact with Him, but not too closely. Now, going to the explanation of why creatures can't stand in the presence of God, in it's fullest degree, in our Catholic faith we're taught how something impure gets disintegrated in too close contact with Him, and we, beyond sinful, are also anthologically built in a way that is incapable to bear His presence in a more raw and direct way. To compare, we can say, for example, we can't handle staring at the sun directly for too long at noon. To support what I'm saying, we can use as an example the passage in Isaiah 6, when the prophet asks that his lips may be purified, for he can't bear standing in the presence of the Lord while unclean, and an angel answers to his request by bringing what's described as a live coal to purify him. Also, as we know, after we die, if we still have temporal punishment to settle, we have to get them purged before we can get for the first time to be in condition of contemplating God with a closeness we could never experience before passing through death. And after resurrection we receive transformed bodies that are built in a way that can stand His presence. This is supported and better explained in a vision (dream) St. John Bosco had of Dominic Savio in heaven. Now, as we know, when demons fell from grace, they went through a transformation, in which they could no longer endure things that are pure or holy, and it would cause them a lot of anger, pain and suffering to try. If you ask them, they'll say they don't repent and don't regret and they prefer hell.

Mankind is made of the image of Most High God, fears demons because of what society shows us or from personal experience. But these very same demons fear our Father when in his presence a billion times worse. But if we are (mankind) in the presence of the Most High God, we experience love and peace a billion times more than we have ever experienced before here on earth. Why should we fear those very same demons that fear our Father? Why be afraid of the dark when we sleep? Think about that.

God's mercy is infinite for those that choose Him. Salvation is possible, even in hell. The problem is, when you are in a state of absolute dispair, and suffering, turning to God probably isn't something that would be considered. Gnashing of teeth, and whatnot.

Forgive me, but this is actually a slight innovation based on a misinterpretation of Saint Augustine of Hippo’s writings. The early church fathers all have the same theologically orthodox description. Nothing can ever truly be “outside God’s presence”. The reason a soul that has been delivered over to the captivity of the demons is in torment is precisely because they are in the presence of God, not because they are outside of it. This is why it is of the utmost importance that we pray for the dead, as well as why the names of the deceased should be remembered in the Liturgy/Mass. Both paradise as well as “hell” begin now, in this life; we will take everything with us into the next world when we repose. Will we be united to Christ or His opposers (the demons)? This is the entire reason we have monasticism.
@DrStrange1000
@DrStrange1000 Ай бұрын
No this is incorrect. When we pray for the dead, we pray for the holy souls in purgatory. Not for the souls banished to the abyss. Unfortunately and sadly, once in hell you can never ever escape and truly away from the presence of our Lord. We pray for the souls in purgatory as these are souls that are in purification before our Lord decides they can be realised.

God spoke with Satan and also many men from the OT, it doesn't mean any of them were in the Beatific Vision, i.e. seeing Him face to face as St. Paul says. The devil never got to meet God in this way because he failed his one test of sacrificing his will by accepting the reign of Jesus Christ, and his subordination to Christ's holy Mother, Mary who would be Queen over all angels.

@@angelestrella35 Because God has said many times that the eternal fires of Hell will never be quenched, it is the place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the worm dieth not, meaning the conscious of the damned will never let them have a single moment's peace or rest. As Isaiah says, "The sinners in Sion are afraid, trembling hath seized upon the hypocrites. Which of you can dwell with devouring fire? which of you shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" (Isaiah 33:14). It is the fire prepared for the devil and his angels as Christ says in Revelation, and we know that the demons in Hell can't die, and their torments are everlasting along with the forever unrepentant sinners.

None of this is biblical. It's pagan in origin. Hell is the grave. It's not the fiery domain of demons, or the pre judgement place of punishment for sinners. Demons and sinners will be cast into the lake of fire. But hell is not it. The lake of fire is after the millennial reign and after the second resurrection.
