Very interesting. I would make a suggestion as an observation. When you pass by the bridge, perhaps show Picard standing in front of his Ready Room window as the camera is panning around just before you see the observation lounge. It might add a just a little more to it. Love how you showed Janeway, Seven and what looked like Chaykote standing by the window on your Star Trek Voyager intro.

Well done, sir! They most certainly more legitimate to the series than that shown in the Picard series. Most of all, I didn't care for the look of the bussard collectors. They looked like three swirling fans. I guess, they were trying to make them look more like the original Enterprise, but they stopped using that look in The Next Generation.

Ditto - wish TNG, DS9, etc had done exactly this. The static lighting patterns always bugged me...
@EVAUnit4A
@EVAUnit4A 3 ай бұрын
@@ministryoflies1344 Maybe so, but the florescent tube lights they used weren't capable of that kind of discrimination. With fiber optic lighting, maybe. However, for the most part having random lights turn-on-and-off would have been impossible because of motion-control photography! The regular strobe lights worked, but not random room lights.
@ministryoflies1344
@ministryoflies1344 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, I know that the tech at the time couldn't manage that consistency and detail...syncing up over multiple passes etc would have been a pain. But maybe if DS9 or Voyager get the 4k restored treatment, who knows..
@EVAUnit4A
@EVAUnit4A 3 ай бұрын
@@ministryoflies1344 So far as I'm aware, the only other Classic Trek that is even _technically_ capable of being upgraded to 4K would be _ENT,_ and that's mostly because all the space stuff was already all-CGI, and Season Four was the first (and only) to be filmed digitally. If I understand correctly, the problem with upgrading _DS9_ and _VOY_ to 4K is they'd have to digitally recreate every single physical model, and they don't have access to those anymore. On top of which- if the rumors are to be believed- Paramount Global is on the verge of bankruptcy, and they're looking to sell-off _Star Trek_ to Warner Brothers (assuming Alex Klutzman and Jar Jar Abrams don't -fuck up- that too), and so they're not capable of doing another 4K release at this time.

@@AdmiralKarelia Season 1 and most of season 2 as a whole used a lot of that typical 80’s electronic synthesizer that shows of the time used in their sound tracks. Now as TNG progressed, it was phased out slowly and when they came up to season 3 I believe they changed the whole opening credits including the music, which was based on TMP. Basically they de-80fied the opening credits to more closely, yet TNG like, the TMP music.

Well.... no. The general reaction from OG TOS Trekkers ranged from disinterest to outright disdain. TNG was not welcomed with open arms. It wasn't until the 3rd season when the majority of classic Trekkers came around. Prior to that, almost every aspect from ship design to their spandex uniforms were subject of ridicule. Even the Jerry Goldsmith theme was robbed from "real" Trek in many fans' eyes. Sorry, but no. No goosebumps. It was a different time. We came around & now TNG is roundly embraced.

From the 1:20 mark to 1:39 (just before the Enterprise goes warp) someone from the production of Picard season 3 must have been a fan of this video as it was used during the opener of episode 10, when the Enterprise comes out of warp near Jupiter.
