Having had no expectations for "Ere" as a chart-topper, Juan Karlos Labajo found himself "amazed" by the massive success of the heartbreak tune, which recently made history as the most streamed local track on Spotify in a day with over 1.2 million streams.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, October 19, Juan Karlos spoke at length about the career milestone, revealing that he once felt pressured to match the popularity of his early hit "Buwan."
The Kapamilya star went on to discuss juggling music and acting, with both "Ere" and his ongoing primetime series "Senior High" making waves on their respective platforms.
Juan Karlos, whose romantic life made headlines in mid-2022, also got candid on finding happiness and his process of growth since that tumultuous episode.

For years na sinusubaybayan ko si juan karlos, JK Is always being mis interpreted a lot without knowing The Whole story , How he truly feels and not giving him a chance to even express what's really inside his mind and his going through , for being who he is, at yun ANG ginagamit lalo na ng mga taong gusto sya ibaba at PASAMAIN sa lahat. But when you meet him personally thats when you really know. JUAN karlos is not your typical guy. MALALIM syang tao he is very genuine and very kind. He is very interesting and very talented. Im so happy for Juan karlos. To @Abscbn thank you for giving him this huge comeback in acting. Juan karlos continue to shine. I love you with all heart.

I got the chance to witness his performance this last week here at Zamboanga city singing his newest hit song Ere in live (with Senior High main casts), parang Recording kung kumanta 👌🎶👨‍🎤. I'm happy that JK matured in the right direction. He's a smart young guy. I was onboard with him from day 1 of The Voice Kids. Was a bit disappointed that he took the indie route. But in hind sight everything makes sense now. He definitely took the right path because to me he's one of the "proper artist" nowadays.

Magkatulad pala sa The Royal Blood ng GMA 7 yung not revealing the storyline sa mga artista ng Senior High kaya yung mga viewers nanghuhula sa mga nangyayari, I always like din yung mga murder mystery. The casting was perfect besides kina Andrea and Elijah. Aside sa Buwan, I also like Demonyo song but the level of success is not equal sa success ng Buwan may pacontest nga before saming filipino nurses group noon dito sa Germany online yung German Version ng Buwan or "Mond" pero kind of reggae yung sound nung nanalo sa contest. When I heard etong Ere song, It was surprising that it was the only filipino song that was launched sa global spotify. Also di sya mawawala sa playlist ko even the song Tapusin na natin to is also in my playlist sa spotify. JK is really talented musician and music composer, proud na proud sure si Bamboo na Mentor nya sa the voice kids.

Nice.. Sana lang you reconnect with Darren na. Since you said na what you want in a friend is yung nice and kind person.. I hope you are what you want din as a friend. Maganda din kasi na tayo na ang mapagkumbaba kahit na feeling natin wala tayong mali minsan. Minsan, maganda kasi na mag apologize tayo kung naka offend tayo.
