Saw the quarterfinal between those two at the US Open in 2016 and the difference was Stan’s backhand. Stan’s forehand was almost as good as Delpo’s that night, but Stan’s backhand was devastating. The majority of us in the crowd were pulling for Delpo, but Stan was just too lethal with that backhand that night and the entire tournament. Glad that I was able to see Delpo at least once in person. Love that guy.
