Joaquín Soler Serrano managed to see and hear Juan Rulfo (1917-1986) today in an exceptional document: «perhaps it is the first program where I participate. The panic that I have of the crowd, of the people, is a natural, congenital thing ».
In 1942 he published his first story "Life is not very serious in its things", and in 1953 the first edition of the storybook "El llano en llamas": «The first editions were not sold, I gave them away more than anything» . In five months he writes "Pedro Páramo" (1955): «The new generation has a series of problems to understand it. I had them to write it. Time and space are broken, and the fact is that they worked with the dead. In reality it is a novel of ghosts, which come to life and lose it again ». When the A FONDO program (1977) was recorded, close to a million copies of these two fundamental books had already been sold.
