my family told my fiancè and I the same thing on not going to Medellín as it was going to be "so dangerous". It is still one of our favorite trips to this day! We enjoyed re-living some of our moments through this vlog

Born and rised in Colombia, this video is just amazing! You captured some of the most signature things from our culture. Colombia is vibrant, colorful, happy, food is absolutely delicious, weather is amazing, landscapes are breathtaking, and people is very warm and welcoming. I love this for many reasons! the main one being that Colombia is often presented as women is it’s only beneficiary and while they are undeniably beautiful, I’ve always wanted to actually learn about the history, culture, religion, issues, etc. I don’t really see many videos on that only clickbait videos of the women and prostitution 😢 While it’s facts that it exists, there’s more to discover for others than that in this beautiful country. Ty for this ❤

This is very true! The fact of the matter is that no matter where you are in the world, most people are good and have pure intentions. Here in Colombia we’ve experienced nothing but love & positivity ❤️ we’ve been pick pocketed in Europe and I’ve personally been mugged in New York City. Don’t buy into the fear that the media puts out there, just do your own research & be smart 🥰

So many people said the same thing about me living in Mexico, "why?" "It's so dangerous, the cartels" etc but I've been walking the streets alone and been super safe here in Tulum. Just don't wear anything flashy and you're good. So much people have things to say who haven't even been to the country, just going off of what they see on the news, so sad. You guys live your best lives and see all of the places! Life is too short

Completely agreed! That’s not to say that you shouldn’t be aware of potential threats & the best tips from locals to stay safe. For example, a common saying here in Colombia that the locals have repeatedly shared with us is “no dar papaya” Which basically means exactly what you said (don’t wear anything too flashy and show all of your valuables / be an easy target). Besides that, these places are not war zones.. all will be good ❤️

❤❤❤❤ When you are in Medellín you have to go to Provenza to Guatape to the viewpoints so you can see the entire city of Medellín so you can enjoy nature and the food that is in the viewpoints you also have to go to the Salto del Buey, it is a waterfall, there is a lot of nature. It is located in Medellín.❤❤❤❤

Went exactly one year ago. Recommend that you guys go to guatape, it’s like 2 hours away but it’s where la piedra de peñol is at and you can get a nice little cabin for really cheap at the beautiful lake.

Thank you guys for showing so much of my city 💗 all your travel vlogs are so well planned and show the cities highlights. Our new Colombian President is trying to turn it into a form of communist regime and we’re all really scared so I’m happy to see us thriving while we hopefully still can. You must visit Guatape and go on a boat tour they have good ones on Airbnb experiences. Much love from Medellin!
