I've always loved the lyric "captured by the people she should lead" because it could be interpreted as a sympathiser outraged at her capture and the audacity of the subjects... but also a subject stating how she failed her kingdom by not being the leader they needed

God this song is still so good and the new vocals are amazing. Especially the mention on how the princess didn't dare look at the crowd made me a bit tear up ngl. The way he probably couldn't face his sister who stood in the crowd dressed as him as he takes the blame for her mistakes, knowing that she was just a product of their parents desires forever tainted by a childhood she never got to experience. He really sacrificed everything for her. This series is so good, love your cover

The way the song is framed, being sung by the princess herself, amd knowing the full story (see Servant of Evil) I think this is a song about the princess realizing she was cruel and evil and a failure as a leader for her people, and accepting the guilt of what she had done

I was 8 when I first listened to this cover, and it got me into listening to Vocaloid, and eventually Evillous Chronicles… Now, I’m 14, and listening to this feels so nostalgic and so new at the same time. Excellent cover!! Also I’m at the same age as Rillaine and Allen now, which feels a bit surreal when I think about it-hopefully I won’t get beheaded before I turn 15 like Allen and live to a ripe old age like Rillaine instead, hopefully without regrets though :D
