2013 is hn I came across these guys and have loved everything they have shared. I think as you get older words take on different meanings and people become what they said they didn't want to be not the they tried to be that person but life happens and I think the guys portray it very well and if it comes out and a couple of words let it come out in those words You know you say them too. It takes somebody with a kind heart and a willingness to go back out there and fight for that feeling all over again as we all know a lot of us don't get a second chance some of us stay stuck some of us are here anymore I can't wait till I'm able to see them live following them this many years still haven't gone to show. In the end if you like the band we like the people you like what they talk about and what they sing about what they stand for you'll like everything about them if not you'd really don't like the band. My high school sweetheart, wife of 20 yrs, 25 years and 4 kids, 15 years of pastoral ministry… and she chose to leave and not try. Judah, your words coupled with the music make audible what my heart is crying out. Thank you for being real and open, swearing and all. Ironically, my ex is taking our son to see you in NYC for his 16th… wonder how the songs hit her (can’t help but wonder). This album captures the heartbreak I experienced, but somehow we pushed through. This is a time capsule for the dissolution of a marriage with someone you truly love. Nothing makes sense, you are vulnerable, angry, sad, confused and bitter. Judah's heart bleeds through on this loud and clear.

Hey Judah, I realize you've been through some tough times and this song reflects that depth of pain. But I'd like to encourage you to think carefully about your reason for including the language that you have in this song. Though your band is not marketed for the Christian music genre, you are described as being outspoken Christians. I recently listened to a John Piper interview on how to write well (Episode 2040 on his Desiring God website) which would certainly apply to song lyrics as well. In his 7th point he states, "Our sentences do not have to be sinful in order to take sin seriously. There are powerful and creative ways to speak of the corruption and wickedness of the world without participating in it." Yes, God can take all the ugliness in our world and lives, and by his grace & forgiveness create new hearts in us that reflect our Savior. But please remember that you have a number of followers who don't need the permission you are granting to sing along in such a way. Point them to a more excellent way.

The reason this resonates with so many of us, is because of the rawness. God is not offended nor intimidated by our word choice, if you don't want to use "curse words" then don't use curse words, sing the song and swap the word out when you sing it. But dont come at this man and guilt him saying he is responsible for your feelings and the feelings of others. This is his song, his life, his expression.

Yes. The swear word hurts cause I really looked up to Judah being a so called follower for Christ. But it looks like he’s leaving his faith behind just like Chevelle and so many others who get fame in the mainstream market. This isn’t judging him. This is a brother in Christ calling out what I see as having one foot in the world and one foot in God. I wonder what his Pastor would say? God has called us to be set apart. I encouraged my teenage daughters to listen to Judah because he was a Christian in a secular market with great music. But I cannot endorse him any longer due to the profanity. It’s not just this song either, it’s all his newest music. The word says, I’d rather you be hot or cold, if you’re luke warm you’ll be spewed out. Choose this day who you will serve, God or Mammon?
