Sabbath may have started it, Maiden may be more popular, Metallica has sold more than everyone, but Priest are the band that 95% or more of any professional metal musician when asked, which band is the ultimate heavy metal band, JP will be the 1st band that they mention. Sabbath was very blues based and heavy slow riffs, with the odd up tempo tune. Priest took it out of the blues and gave it a more sharper and metallic sound and dramatically increased the tempo. they have by far the best voice and twin guitar duo (past and present) PERIOD.

@Skelly59626 жыл бұрын
Out of respect for his massive contribution to the very foundation of heavy metal, I think we can forgive the metal god for no longer being able to sing like his 20 something self. It's the least we can do for all the great music he and Priest have given us.
@0xilipe06 жыл бұрын
Besides, he still has some range and has improved since this concert. He's been singing Saints in Hell in the same octave as the record in 2018, wich this song is also part of. Who knows, maybe he would do the same thing with Exciter nowadays. The Metal God's voice is a rollercoaster. The heaviest, most fun rollercoaster ever!

Saw them for the 4th time in Bucharest 3 days ago. Rob is like a fine wine, at 70 years old he was the best performer i've seen in the last 5 years.
