Sabbath may have started it, Maiden may be more popular, Metallica has sold more than everyone, but Priest are the band that 95% or more of any professional metal musician when asked, which band is the ultimate heavy metal band, JP will be the 1st band that they mention. Sabbath was very blues based and heavy slow riffs, with the odd up tempo tune. Priest took it out of the blues and gave it a more sharper and metallic sound and dramatically increased the tempo. they have by far the best voice and twin guitar duo (past and present) PERIOD.

People, you can't expect Rob Halford to sing like he did in his 20's. Hes 60 now, so at least enjoy he still does it.

This is my favourite Priest song and yet in all the times Ive seen them they never once played it...dam!

Saw them for the 4th time in Bucharest 3 days ago. Rob is like a fine wine, at 70 years old he was the best performer i've seen in the last 5 years. His voice was even more powerful than the studio recordings when he was young. I bet he ate "mici" in Bucharest and they gave him even more satanic power.

Maiden(older), Ozzy with Sabbath and latter, Pantera, Def Leppard, Zepplin, Deep Purple (interesting how the Blues music created so many metal bands), accept... It will go on.
