You are the first person I've seen who plays the slow part at beginning and end at 3:20 the same way I do. I just thought it sounded right but then when I actually looked for the song on YT & saw everyone playing the power chords picked around the 7th fret, I figured I just learned it wrong. I have a slight variation with the last two notes though; I've been playing 2nd fret on G and 3rd fret B for the last 2 notes and then start again. I see you slide up to bar the 7th fret D & G for the last 2 notes but other than that we play it the same. I feel better now...

For me, the "good" position is the one i feel well, i always search the easyier position to play, it has to sound good for me. Sometimes, watching videos of covers learn me better ways, but and i don't really search to play like osers, except the original artist ....
