THe 90s film is MUCH closer to the comics than DREDD was. I have every issue of 2000AD been collecting since 1977. THis animated series is great but the closest we have seen yet is the live action Stallone one. The DREDD one didnt have any HUMOUR what so ever STALLONE one had 2 much humour. you need a balance.

stallone was the worst and why are you capsing it chill out he himself ruined the film adam sandlers actor friend was the one that was funny and pulled any of it out of the dirt even the director said himself that stallone was the one reason the movie was dreadful and dry and slow and boring and dull because he is a big Hollywood star that wanted to show his face and get the biggest role so much that he said it was the last time he would hire any big faces in Hollywood. he ruined the film single handily should of just got rid of him and got someone one else less know in both the comic and in real life actor made it better instantly.

If it's about Judge Death, the animation should be screwed up. That fits the subject matter fine.

I mean the DREDD one had a tiny bit of dark humor in it. Judge Dredd, don't think people liked it very much for how over the top it was, to the point of just makin' the film WAY too zany for it's own good. Nothin' wrong with a little bit of absurdity but it was kinda silly, honestly.

Deathworld is a parallel universe to the standard Dredd-verse. There are some differences. I dont know for certain but possibly the guns arnt restricted. In the comic, Deathworld is presented as somewhere life is fairly cheap......

I only know Judge Dredd from the two movies about him, but I'd like to see more content of him, do you guys have any recommendation of where I should start?

Most people seem to recommend starting from "Casefiles Vol 5" if you want to read a variety of stories sequentially - any earlier and the satire can be a little much. Vol 5 introduces the Dark Judges and the Apocalypse war which have reverberated ever since. If your more interested on picking up a storyline in a complete volume, "America" looks at the world but features Dredd in a more supporting role - still one of the most powerful storylines though. "Origins" is another alternative, which also serves as a sort of prequel and explains how the Judges came to be and the Megacities etc. Depending on where you are, sometimes you can find copies of the old Fleetway Annuals from the 80's in charity shops, comic shops etc- this was my introduction to Dredd as my brother used to collect them and I branched out from there. These would usually have a few stories, plus some world building "articles", though to be fair, you could probably just use a wiki for the same thing these days.... Hope that helps a bit

But I was talking with my friend and he says that most people see Judge Dredd as a bad guy and the comic is just satire. I don't know if I'm just naive when it comes to the police but I think that Dredd is a great guy and he's the only one who can stop villains. What do you think?
