And she texted a friend to come over and asked her if she had ever seen a dead body, and when the friend told her no, she took the friend into her mother‘s room and showed her her mother’s dead body. She called her stepfather and asked him when he was going to be home and he told her 45 to 50 minutes and when he walked in the door, she shot him in the shoulder and then she. I hope she does not get away with this murder

Before you take the role of jury, she is a psychiatric patient under treatment for depression and anxiety, she had her meds changed a few days or week before and antidepressants can trigger hypomania or mania and this risk is greater in teenagers, that is why they have to check constantly and ask if you “have thought of hurting yourself or others”, not sure about the abuse allegations but the fact is the meds might have caused a violent reaction, there are several studies with trials related to psych meds and sudden violence so the defense has a good chance.

She doesn’t. If she gets convicted, someone can complain that she had an ineffective defense. This brat sure went to a lot of trouble to hide her intent, and what bothers me. The most is that she texted her girlfriend and had her come over and asked her if she had ever seen a dead body, and when the little girlfriend said no, the murderer took her in her mom‘s bedroom and show her her mom‘s dead body. She then called her dad and asked him when he was going to be home and he told her 45 to 50 minutes and she was waiting inside. The Doran shot him and then she ran away. I hope she. Young, inexperienced lawyers have to go on their own sometime! He probably was in the right price range or court appointed. The judge definitely will keep him informed and it appears as if he’ll attempt to be instructive instead of vindictive. Let’s hope the defense gets lots better!😂

So who is 'her family' wanting to visit with her. Her father, grandparents, brothers and sisters? If so that sure must have a heart of gold to want anything to do with this kid. So pleased she has an iPad, cannot let a teenager not to have all the contact she wants - that is rubbish. Her lawyer (is he a private lawyer?) is dragging his heels, most likely he cannot find a medical expert to say about her mental health. I know the judge is doing is all by the book, but from the outside it does seem that the person who did a terrible deed is treated so well.

If by literally you mean…not at all literally, sure.Millions of American teens are on psych meds; very few commit homicidal violence. In fact, more teenagers who are _not_ on psych meds will commit homicide than those who are. It’s almost as though there’s a small overlap between mental illness/behavioural disorders, & homicidal violence in adolescents, whose frontal lobes are still developing, & who are suffering the neuropsychological effects of puberty. Who’d have thought it?

@ScoobyDoozy Not what OP was saying at all. Re-read what he said. It's a fact that all child.murders of recent have been on psych meds. Doesn't mean they all will, just means that the ones that have murdered were. Don't defend murders so hard .
