He doesn’t really want to be with her. You can just tell. She’s not his image of the perfect woman so why string her along? Maybe to spare her feelings?. It does seem like he cares for her, sadly not in the way she would like. It’s better to hurt her with the truth now then for both of you to be hurting continuously down the line…because she is not his dream woman and also because she will always be on the lookout for his cheating ways. What a headache 🤕
