@@rael5469 He didn't need to show the video. The guy was found guilty regardless and the prosecutor knew with almost 100% certainty that he didn't need to bother with the video. The important part was the speed radar, on which the prosecutor laid a good deal of emphasis. The defendant should have tried to attack that. If that evidence could have had doubt cast on it "beyond a reasonable doubt" then the case would have gone the other way. But Pro Se defendants really don't know what evidence to focus on, or how to do it effectively. That's why they typically lose. This guy probably told his mates in a bar that he got stopped for speeding, and they loaded him up with bad advice which proved to be worth precisely what he paid for it - nothing.

Indeed; in that case, Judge Webster clearly demonstrated what was only alluded to in most of the others-that she doesn’t actually care, even a little bit, about any testimony that doesn’t come from the officers. The defendant in that case showed evidence that the officer was in the wrong, and the officer’s only evidence was his word. Judge Webster didn’t care about the truth until that officer recanted his own sworn testimony.

I would take more weight from an officers testimony too, they are professionals with their careers on the line if they lie and get found out. I've seen a couple of trials and it amazes me how police officers don't seem to catch on to when the prosecutor is trying to feed them a helpfully phrased question. I'd say it's 50/50 the officers who "get it" and those who are terrible witnesses.

Why is it that certain people think that they don't have to sit still in court? Why is it so hard to just be an adult, sit squarely in your chair so that the judge and everybody else can see your face instead of playing all these little games where they turn, and they looked to the side for the whole video or there. They're sitting so low in their chair that don't. You can only see the top half of their face. Or they have a setup so that you can't really see them because of the light behind them. It's not that difficult to do a zoom video and be squarely in the video so that everyone can see who you are.

Get a lawyer, damned!!! It‘s not the courts job to explain the rules of the court to you! It‘s so frustrating! There are a lot of issues with the legal system, but you having the right to a lawyer, so not every regular citizen has to learn all the rules of the court is one of those things that actually makes sense!!! USE IT!!!

Stalker was the brand of radar my agency used. This guy does not understand that after you have been tagged by radar you do not get a freebie just because you slowed down later. I will admit the Deputy should have stated the approximate mile marker that he tagged him on radar. But not all states have mile markers.

When I see these blokes I am always reminded of the phrase 'A man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client' If you do this you are either very clever or very dumb. If you don't hold multiple degrees, at least one PhD and understand Latin and philosophy it is probably the latter. The chance of you outsmarting or outmanoeuvring an individual who has spent years studying law is very low. The chance of you doing it with material you find on the internet is zero, unless the state has done something very foolish and you have a brilliant case. Even then you are liable to lose on a technicality if you don't understand the system.
