The Sumi Gaeshi is also a great counter to a wrestlers single leg takedown, grab by the shoulder or the lat and reverse them and if you practice it you can roll back into side control or mount, try it

Sumi gaeshi is one of my favorite throws to use I tried this entry and didn't get sumi not because the technique failed but...I did however wind up throwing the guy uchi mata every time because they let me have the Kazushi. So maybe at tonight's class. Thank you for sharing

Great technique and video. In the sumi action, which leg does tori use for the attack? Left or right? I tried to pause and screenshot… I think the right leg. Still not sure though.
