The raw honesty and introspection in this is touching in the right way. No overblown emotionalism or contrived sob stories, just a man baring is soul without complaint or embellishment.

Brilliant insight into a time of Judo and Martial Arts lost with time. Can’t help thinking Doug sounds a lot like Clint Eastwood in this too! 😂. RIP Doug, exceptional Judoka and Kimura who was simply the judo GOAT.

Followed a link from Greg’s Airplanes video on the Ki84, he briefly spoke about master Kimura. All this while doing some light woodwork with a Japanese saw, a moment of serendipity. Soooo glad.

The audio is in serious need of being re-adjusted. All the same, thanks for putting up more about the Great Masahiko Kimura. One of the greatest grapplers there ever will be.
