Ray repeatedly telling her she looked beautiful after she called her younger self a “fat little girl” touched me. It breaks my heart knowing MGM and her mother crushed her self-esteem - we can see it reflected in adulthood. 🥺

He was so sweet with her. Unfortunately when you have people constantly telling you you’re not good enough, eventually you will begin to believe them. I’m glad she has a true friend in Ray Bolger, you can just tell he had a wonderful heart ❤️ RIP Ray and Judy. Hope they are together again.

This is a National treasure! They had no idea back then that they would still be entertaining us in the 21 Century. I still watch the move to this day simply because what they were able to achieve in making it way back in 1939. And of course, Judy with her one of a kind voice.

"She never had a chance to become a normal child - or a normal adult. She always had someone hovering over her. There should be a time in your life when you can go home at night and forget about show business, but Judy Garland never got to that point." - Ray Bolger

Back when people had some class. They certainly weren't perfect times, wars, racism, but on the good side, people dressed properly, cars looked good, the way women did their hair, with so many styles, film, radio, music, even adverts, they were painted, unlike now where you go the woods and there's ads growing on the trees, yuck. When i was a kid in the 90s i loved that film...The world needs to slow down, and it needs some magic again. 🦁🍀

Actually, I believe all of the cast really loved Judy. I have no idea where the rumor that claims that Margaret was the only nice one comes from. They all have talked about how they loved Judy.
