Deads do a subtle leap when they attack thus new undamaged deads get cycled in while damaged weak deads get put in the back, that plus their regeneration make them extremely hard to kill in melee. So they just keep their numbers and stack up damage over and over.

Deads are so much and they are nearly has swordwrath damage against light units and this makes them powerful against melee units
