16:00 there is a sneaky MINUS ONE in the spawn platform calculation - you build the platform too high, which won't work. You can also place the platform quite a few blocks lower without any noteworthy reduction in the rates - the calculated hight is the highest possible minus one. You can tell when building it - the player spawn protected area covers the whole platform only when you are standing in the middle. Fortess mobs should be spawning on the platform itself when standing on the sides or in one of the corners - which makes building in survival a bit tricky. No mobs spawning can be an early indicator that the platform was too high.

quick tip for manuvering villagers: the best way to move villagers without minecarts/boats is with bells. if you ring a bell, no matter the time of day, all nearby villagers will run to the nearest bed (i don't think it matters if the bed is claimed or not). i used this in the exact same iron farm design that you have here, and it was SO useful - no rails needed. maybe that would have been useful when you were doing this ;)

The inspiration to make a huge iron farm like this is insane, Definitely will make one of these and add a few layers since I still have not built an iron farm in my world where I've already spent almost 200 Minecraft days in, and probably many more irl days.

This is really nice. I think Iron farm was my first major project in my world. You should definitely look into those world eaters first though lol. I'd recommend that you just build t he next iron farm, whenever that may be, over water. Good video 👍

My hatred for moving villagers and zombies pretty much vanished when I started using activator rails. Get them exactly on the spot you want them, 100% reliably every single time. It’s so easy it boggles my mind that I literally see not a single other person doing it. Also instead of pushing them into minecarts, cram them into a wall using water and run a minecart length wise. Reliably picks a guy up and then puts it in place, you don’t even have to do anything. Life changer

Something I think you could do that would be cool is some sky view Timelapses of you mining or something. It wouldn’t bore the viewer and it would make the video feel more connected.

Your videos feel like a breath of fresh air amongst the more ”mainstream” minecraft content on youtube. Really love your style and cant wait for more videos! I thought I was watching a waaay bigger channel so I think its only a matter of time before you get the recognition you deserve!

For those attempting to make a large farm like this, here are some tips: - Make the floor of your temporary breeder house and surrounding area (about 10 blocks out in any direction) path blocks to prevent iron golems from spawning. Don't forget to make the roof out of path blocks too, or else just skip having a roof entirely. - Rather than putting villagers into individual boats to separate them, you can use water streams to push them all into a corner made of glass blocks and then send a minecart by. The minecart will pick up one villager at a time magically through the corner of the glass blocks. (You don't even need redstone for this. Just run into the minecart to give it some speed, or else have it start its journey a few blocks higher than where it will pick up the villagers.) - Instead of using powered rails, you can just use regular rails and a minecart with furnace. Load in a piece of coal and watch the villagers chug along to their new homes. -You only need to get the villagers close to the three beds. Once they're in a little dirt box by the beds, just wait til night and they will path to them automatically. - You can place zombies in boats instead of having to name tag them to prevent them from despawning. - Placing a bit of ice underneath the water nearer to the edges of the water streams will speed the golems along to their deaths.

i felt the suffering you were feeling when removing all the stone around the farm, i once tried to remove a 100x100 grid all the way to bedrock and once i got to a quater of the way through i just quit its really mentally draining and something i wouldnt wish on my worst enemy

if i recall correctly part of the criteria for a villager to attempt to spawn an iron golem is that there must be a spawnable block in range that's exposed to the sky. if you see this before the walls come down, you can probably keep them
