It's amazing that that intro actually spoiled EVERYTHING, but the incredible part is that it's so brief and artistically / visually represented that you seriously would never know it. Definitely gonna be one of those "horrifying in retrospect" openings that hits harder the closer we get to the end

I also think Mahito could use his power to help Yuki Tsukumo (S2 ep5), with her search for a cure. He can fix heavenly pacts + he unlocked Junpei's curse technique (basically taught him control).

Yes, Mahito 100% could use his technique to give tons of humans cursed energy and techniques. But he's a curse, and the world that Yuki wants would be one where curses couldn't exist--new curses would not be born, and older ones would starve.

Much of the things there only make sense if you read the manga If you're an anime only you can't make anything out of it without pausing each frame and trying to interpret what it means,if it's metaphorical or actual events that will happen

I think If you're anime only it's gonna be hard to think about what's gonna happen tho even if you just pause it and watch scene by scene. The manga reader already read it so even if they saw one scene they gonna know about what's that scene for.

Random question I had while watching the show: if Mahito is a curse born of the hatred humans feel toward each other, how the hell is he so young / how did he just spring into existence?

Yes he's young, they mentioned that in season 1. See episode 1x11, after Nanami fought him.
