Toji is THAT man. It's been said before, but he came at Gojo like Batman with all the tools and equipment. All the way down to a gun to kill Riko that would go undetected since it doesn't have cursed energy like him.

They said it in the episode but toji is as strong as he is because of the heavenly restriction he has. He was born with zero cursed energy but in exchange got a superhuman body. It’s the same restriction maki has, but fully awakened.

Toji didn't hate Gojo, he just knew that he needed to strategize in order to not be caught by him too soon, knowing from their past encounter that Gojo could sense him when no one else could.

He’s not hating on the little kid. He just check once to see the kid who was born with six eyes and limitless at the same time which not happened since decades/centuries i think. And he’s the only one who noticed him sneaking behind ever. So when he got the assasination project he strategize and played it smart.

Toji didn’t hate him necessarily, he was most likely knowing that in the future he would have to confront Gojo at one point because of the work he’s involved in, so he made extra planning for that coming moment, because Gojo was the first and last person that ever noticed him while standing behind someone, which means Gojo was definitely gonna be a problem in the future.

He has no cursed energy so he is basically human, which is why he can pass through the barrier freely.

He is not "basically human", he is super human. Basic humans do have cursed energy but small amount and are unable to control it. If all basic humans were like toji, there would not be curses at all. In fact, tengen barriers would protect from the invasion of basic humans, that's why noone could anticipate toji here, because he is one in a billion exception who has ZERO cursed energy

"That episode was fast." So true! It's insane how quick they go by. 20 minutes of anime gone by in what feels like 3. Constantly has you wanting more. Believe it or not, this episode is the first of any show that I can find credited to the director. They did a hell of a job for their first time.

He said he used reversed curse energy to heal himself as soon as he got stabbed, unless he was lying or just didn’t understand what had happened I don’t think he fully died

He didnt die. He was about to but he used reverse curse technique. Its basically healing and regeneration and it uses double the amount of energy as regular curse techniques. You know how in season 1 sukuna regenerated his hand? Thats what gojo did to his body.

After watching this arc when a friend told me they wanted to start the show I told them to start on what is available for season 2 then go to season 1 because them not knowing it is a prequel might make it so they get more of an emotional roller-coaster from this. Personally I rolled my eyes at Gojo being put in that position because we knew he survived due to even episode 1 knowing it was a prequel meant 0 stakes in combat to me

Toji's heavenly pact is actually way better than maki's Maki has very low cursed energy like way lower than even regular people so In exchange for the lost cursed energy she got more physical strength Toji on the other hand literally has 0 cursed energy like he is the first person to have 0 , so you can imagine how much stronger his heavenly pact is by the mere fact that maki still can't sense or see cursed spirits cuz of low cursed energy and has to use those glassed But toji's heavenly pact is so buffed out he don't even need to see cursed spirits , he can just feel them like air through his other natural senses like smelling and hearing etc and his physical stats are through the roof that even maki feels like a scrawny kid compared to him

@@_cka Simple, because he's Gojo :3 But for real, he got an adrenaline rush as he realized he was as good as gone and focused all his energy in reverse curse. he pretty much did what he did when got backstabed, just on a more powerful scale and with RCE to heal. Was basicaly a do or die, learn to swim by jumping into the ocean. Then again, the full picture is more complex, but all boil down to "Because he's Gojo.
