In this video, join me and my two friends as we embark on an exciting trek to Panchpokhari. This is part one of our journey, where we traverse through challenging terrains and experience the beauty of nature in the rainy season.
Starting Point:
Kathmandu to Jorpati: Our adventure began in Kathmandu. We headed to Jorpati to catch a bus to Chimti, Sindhupalchok.
Bus Journey: The bus ride took 5 hours, and the road was quite rough, especially during the rainy season. Despite the challenges, the scenic views along the way kept our spirits high.
The Trek Begins:
Chimti to Deurali: From Chimti, we started our trek. The trail was surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and majestic mountains. We trekked for 2 hours and reached Deurali, where we took a well-deserved tea break after gaining an elevation of 2000 meters.
Continuing to Tuppidanda:
Journey to Tuppidanda: After our break in Deurali, we continued our trek. It was a 3-hour journey to Tuppidanda. The path was challenging but filled with breathtaking views of nature.
Night Stay in Tuppidanda: We finally reached Tuppidanda in the evening and decided to stay there for the night. The prices in this area were a bit high, but the experience was worth it.
About Panchpokhari:
Religious Significance: Panchpokhari, located in the Sindhupalchok district, is a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The name 'Panchpokhari' means 'Five Lakes,' which are believed to be holy. The area is known for its spiritual atmosphere and natural beauty, attracting pilgrims and trekkers alike.
Scenic Beauty: Surrounded by towering mountains and lush greenery, Panchpokhari offers stunning views and a serene environment. The trek to Panchpokhari is not only a religious journey but also a chance to immerse oneself in the pristine beauty of the Himalayas.
