Thank you, Jules, for inspiring me. I resonated so incredibly much with your values, purpose and of course, food. You’ve made me feel like I can create my own family with the love I have for others, even if I’m single, unmarried, blah blah blah. You are awesome, don’t ever forget it. Food, family & service ❤️

Wow what an amazing story. I honour you for your capacity, honesty, integrity and the love you have devoted to your family. I am in a relationship transition which pales into insignificance when I see how you and these lovely people you have shared your life with have more than survived and thrived.

It's only my opinion, of course, but I think Master Chef (which I have personally never seen) actually did Jules a very meaningful favor. Seems as if the shame she says she experienced, plus having to see herself behaving in ways that felt 'confronting' to her, feeling guilty that the kids didn't do well when she was absent, were actually opportunities to heal some very deep core wounds, which is likely why the show affected her so much, why she had what appeared to be an adverse reaction after she was eliminated. Often, when we are growing/evolving spiritually, it can look like 'depression' on the surface; but what is actually happening? We are processing our deepest vulnerabilities, our deepest fears of being 'wrong', not being good enough, etc. , and if we can but sit in this period of often painful introspection, discover who we are & how worthy we are at our very core, there can be such a shining healing miracle that we will look back at what propelled us towards that healing (which is usually a traumatic event in our lives) and feel SUCH gratitude. Jules seems much more grounded, humble, and at peace, all very hard won. Bravo to her!

Well said Ani. I have just seen this episode of Australian Story. I hate reality TV for what it does to people in general, but you have put a positive light to it. Thank you.

Had no idea the process was so lengthy or could be soul destroying or the effect on family and friends.

Way more people are average rather then super special. The sooner you accept that the happier you'll be.

No disrespect here, and I am not just aiming my comment at this lovely lady. It was a show, just embrace what you experienced and move on. It isn't a death or terminal illness in your family.

Australian Masterchef is nothing like the original UK Masterchef, which is so much better

A good behind the scenes look at reality tv. Like it couldn't be fun to watch if all the contestants got along and were genuinely having fun in a playful competitive way? Sorta sick how this is all engineered for crisis and drama instead of fun and celebrating creativity. Definitely a symptom of societal sickness and corporate media greed. "Let's watch and see how people get humiliated and have a complete mental breakdown." Sick.

Watch the Jane Fonda movie, "They Shoot Horses, Dont They?" and you'll see exactly the same thing. Just freak shows, the Roman Circus....Misery makes for a ghoulish entertainment.

This is why I don't watch reality tv, it's horrible, manipulated from the minute they sign the contract.

Unreality T.V! I personally can't stand these tv shows. Surely people realize there is nothing "real" about these shows.
