Julia Hartley-Brewer SHOCKED At Tory MP Suspended After Trying To Pay "Bad People" | Mark Menzies

TalkTV's Julia Hartley-Brewer reacts to news that Tory MP Mark Menzies has been suspended after allegedly asking his former campaign manager for money to pay "bad people" in a "life and death" matter.
Mr Menzies disputes the allegations, and the Conservative Party has said it is looking into the claims and takes them seriously.
In the Commons on Thursday, shadow Leader of the House Lucy Powell said the “extraordinary” allegations raise “very serious questions” and warrant a police investigation.
Ms Powell also questioned the handling of the claims by the Tories, alleging there is “a worrying pattern here of cover-up and inaction”, in reference to reports that the party had been aware of the allegations for more than three months.
Julia says: "What on earth is going on in the House of Commons!?"

It should be remembered that in 2009, Westminster was engulfed in a scandal involving MPs' expenses which only came to light when the DT was sent a CD containing a lorry load of incriminating information. Many MPs were disgraced by the subsequent revelations. 5 Labour MPs were sent to prison for false accounting.
