You know that feeling. That split second burst of emotion that envelops you, when a moment of pure joy occurs and washes over you. Did you ever consider what that feeling SOUNDS like? Well here's Julia's Noise When She Reads The New Yorker. Animated. I don't think there's a more succinct title, don't @ me.

So far I've seen 3 different visual interpretations of that Julia noise now. There is the official drawfee one where they use the liquefy tool on the avatar of the speaker to make them go all droopy. There was another animatic where they scrunched up the bodies of the character until it was just arms and legs coming out of a head, and now this one where just Julia's face turns into a Uzumaki style spiral face. I'm interested to see more artists interpretations of that noise.

I usually like to watch these videos 2 times - one time on regular speed and the second one frame by frame, to see all the cool little Easter eggs. This time it was a huge mistake, because the way Julia's face gets twisted looks HORRENDOUS frame by frame. I doubt I'll be able to sleep this week. Great job, it's a great animation as usual.

obsessed with how jacob is the only one that seems to have a problem with this nathan and karina are having fun with their friend but jacob is deeply uncomfortable and no one else seems to care 😩 amazing as always you always bring some kind of curse upon jacob in these and its SO funny

Onionulia is now my nightmare demon, and I empathize heavily with Jacob's distress levels throughout this whole segment. I also am pretending that vibrating Onionulia is not standing behind my chair, Jacob. If we believe hard enough it will surely be true.

there is so so much to love about this. jacob with wet hair just looks like a good school boy, which makes me want to see them draw their opposites in an episode (good boy jacob, mean teen nathan, pokemon connoisseur julia and innocent karina). the spiral is such a great visual for the sound. i was amused yet horrified when julia removed it from her face, just to grow another spiral. the “drawfee new yorker edition” animations were awesome! and i love just looking at jacob’s mildly concerned facial expressions. there is so much character in every frame! well done! Also julia’s 👉👈 at the end was adorable

my god i have so much respect for you as an artist. not only is your animation top notch, the way you visually represent what's being said adds so much to the bit, making it even funnier, and the little details, like the english major comic in the newspaper jacob is holding, just shows how much you enjoy and care for the content you're animating from, it's extremely endearing. great job as always!!

Finally subscribed! I’m loving the way you bring the Drawfee crew to life. If you want more inspiration Caldwell and Nathan had a podcast a while back called “What Should We Draw” that was just pure gold every episode. Also OG Drawfee with them and Julia was a high water mark as well.
